10.Parasite

Greed and class discrimination threaten the newly formed symbiotic relationship between the wealthy Park family and the destitute Kin clan. A clever and a superb film that is so memorable in a thought-provoking film, it is one of those film with twist after twist and it never get confusing and it has a genre of drama, horror and psychological which mixed really well. It is definitely unpredictable in a surprisingly well effective film.
9.Orphan

A husband and wife who recently lost their baby adopt a 9-year-old girl who is not nearly as innocent as she appears. People will keep comparison to The Omen for this film but this different, new and fresh will stunning acting especially from Isabelle Fuhrman, it is authentic with jump scares as this is so good with creepy atmosphere and it is totally unique, in a superbly crafted film that will made you think.
8.Identity

Stranded at a desolate Nevada motel during a nasty rainstorm, ten strangers become acquainted with each other when they realize that they’re being killed off one by one. Whodunnit type of film that can be hard to watch but you can’t fault the ambitious and with a brilliant premise, that what made this film so special and it is definitely watchable.
7.Ex Machina

A young programmer is selected to participate in a ground – breaking experiment in synthetic intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of a highly advanced humanoid A.I. It is one of those film that is lesser known and with a clever concept with just the three main lead, it is claustrophobic, tense and inventive which work really well in a film, that is smart and highly intelligent and really engrossing that will drawn you in from the first frame.
6.Interstellar

A team of explores travel through a wormhole in space in an attempt to ensure humanity’s survival. The first hour of this film is so compelling and with an all – star cast with the likes of Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain plus Matthew McConaughey is surprisingly good, the visual effect is certainly out of this world with brilliant cinematography and I know the runtime is rather long but the pacing is just right, it is thoroughly entertaining if you watch this.
5.Shutter Island

In 1954, a U.S. Marshal investigates the disappearance of a murderer who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane. Years ago I watched this film with my brother in Manchester I don’t get it whatsoever, but now I do get it once I actually thinking about the film as it is generally creepy and it is so unpredictable with a bunch of well-known people, the cinematography is outstanding in this gorgeous looking film.
4.Arrival

A linguist works with the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after twelve mysterious spacecraft appear around the world. Thought provoking film that is so magnificent and moving that you actually care about with these characters in this film, the visual is extraordinary and so realistic in a story that will made you think. It is character driven type of film and it is stylish, suspense and it just a well-made film.
3.The Sixth Sense

Cole Sear who communicates with spirits seeks the help of a disheartened child psychologist Dr Malcolm Crowe. Superbly made chiller that creep you under your skin and with performances with the likes of Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment which is stunning and that what made this film really good, the pacing is just right and it will gripped you from start to finish in a film that is watchable.
2.The Secret Of Marrowbone

In 1960s rural America three brothers and a sister have just lost their mother. After her death they fear to be separated. Definitely one of the best chiller/supernatural film that will keep you guessing throughout this film, for me personally this is so underrated in a fabled ghost story that people should watched this as the casting is perfect and it is so unpredictable.
1.The Others

A woman who lives in her darkened old family house with her two photosensitive children becomes convinced that the home is haunted. The reason why this film is my number one it blended the war element with horror and the mystery and it combine to a stunning fabled ghost story, the jump scares is perfect and with a twist that just hold this film together and the whole film in whole it is very clever.
Yes, some great ones there Mark, and for once I have seen most of them!

I thought you might have included Knives Out and Murder on the Orient Express as you enjoyed both of those films.
