10.Missing Link

Mr Link recruits explorer Sir Lionel Frost to help find his long – lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri – La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight, this trio of explorers travel the world to help their new friend. A well intentioned and generally heartfelt film that explore friendships and it is funny, it has got slapstick moment which work really well and it just a really nice film overall.
9.Chef

A head chef quits his restaurant job and buys a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family. Foodie type of film with a travelogue around America, it also like a father and son relationships and it is well casted in a feel-good film that will capture people heart.
8.Lion

A five-year-old Indian boy is adopted by an Australian couple after getting lost hundreds of kilometres from home. 25 years later, he sets out to find out to find his lost family. I’m sure people can relate to this film and it can be poignancy and moving at the same time, the acting is amazing in this gorgeous looking film that is so beautiful.
7.Everybody’s Fine

A widower who realized his only connection to his family was through his wife sets off on an impromptu road trip to reunite with each of his grown children. Robert DeNiro is superb as the likeable lead and this film is touching and full of heart, it is one of those film that is so relatable and people will fallen in love with this film.
6.Homward Bound (1993 – 1996)

Shadow, Sassy and Chance are back! It’s been three years since their trek through the woods and over mountains. Now the family lives in San Francisco and they’re taking a vacation in Canada. Cute looking animals in a highhearted film that bring you a wowed factor, it has got a brilliant story and this is ideal for a family viewing and all ages will love this film.
5.Eat Pray Love

Liz Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self – discovery. Life affirming film that is sweet and touching as it is sensitive with great acting from Julia Roberts and the story is well told. In general this film is pure escapism and the chemistry between the main two lead is just right and the pacing is really good.
4.The Bucket List

Two terminally ill man escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to – dos before they die. Yes it might be too predictable for some people and the most original film as well, it got two acting heavyweight in Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman and they made this film funny, heartfelt, and very watchable, in a sincere film that will moved you.
3.Nomadland

A woman in her sixties, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van – dwelling modern – day nomad. One of those film that doesn’t drawn you in from the start, but when it get going you will automatically connect with these characters. It might be too slow for some people but it will leave you a lasting impression on you and it is so memorable.
2.The Call Of The Wild

As the great Klondike Gold Rush is attracting both ambitious treasure hunters and bold adventurers to the unforgiving territories of Canada’s late 1890s Yukon, Buck, a pampered St. Bernard – Scotch Collie dog, finds himself without a master in a frozen new world. My go to film as this is so uplifting and finding a place in this world, I actually connect to this film and with stunning scenery that just wowed you, in a timeless story that is a pure classic film.
1.Up

78-year-old Carl Fredricksen travel to Paradise Falls in his house equipped with balloons, inadvertently taking a young stowaway. With PIXAR normally very consistent and this film is definitely one of the best one, it has got a multi layered story that is so simple and heart breaking and you actually care about with these characters. It is relatable and real in this sincere tale of friendships and memories in a superbly made film.
An interesting list Mark. Reminds me again that I haven’t seen Up.
