10.The Addams Family 2 (8/10/21)
Morticia and Gomez distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with “scream time”. To reclaim their bond, they decide to go on a road trip across America. Some sequels can be really awful but this is surprisingly really good as it is harmless and fun also pure escapism, it is simple but with memorable characters.
9.A Boy Called Christmas (26/11/21)
In this origin story of Father Christmas, an ordinary boy sets out on an extraordinary adventure to find his father who is on a quest to discover the fabled village of Elfhelm. The most important thing with this film, is the story as this is majestic, the casting is perfect and they are really convincing in this gorgeous looking film.
Sam and Tusker are travelling across England in their old RV to visit friends, family, and places from their past. Since Tusker was diagnosed with dementia two years ago. Quietly this is superbly made and the chemistry between the main two lead is excellent, for me personally that is the key to this film as it works really well, the ending is certainly moving.
7.No Time To Die (30/9/21)
James Bond has left active service. His peace is short – lived when Felix Leiter, an old friend from the CIA, turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology. With stunning set pieces and the start and the finish of this film is truly remarkable, overall, this film is certainly entertaining from start to finish.
6.The Woman In The Window (14/5/21)
An agoraphobic woman living alone in New York begins spying on her new neighbors, only to witness a disturbing act of violence. Unpredictable, tense, and nerve-jangling film which is so good and it will certainly thrilled you, it is a character driven type of film and with twist after twist and the villain is certainly memorable, it is one of those film that is well – made.
5.The Mitchells Vs The Machines (30/4/21)
A quirky, dysfunctional family’s road trip is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity’s unlikeliest last hope. You will admire this animation film as it tries to be unique and different, it is fresh and new as this is inventive and with a clever concept that work really well. The vocal talent is superb and it brim with comic one liners and that what made this funny, it is refreshing and it is so watchable and the pacing is just right.
4.Chaos Walking (2/4/21)
Two unlikely companions embark on a perilous adventure through the badlands of an unexplored planet as they try to escape a dangerous and disorienting reality where all thoughts are seen and heard by everyone. Remarkable and truly spectacular film which is eye catching from the first frame as it is unique, it is well casted in this thought-provoking film with a superb ending.
3.The Water Man (9/7/21)
A boy sets out on a quest to save his ill mother by searching for a mythic figure said to have magical healing powers. Personally, I was totally surprised by this film as I’m into my adventures films this is so moving, the casting is perfect and this film in whole is purely enjoyable and a crowd pleaser in this epic style of film, overall, this is watchable as it drawn you in from the start.
2.Ghostbusters: Afterlife (18/11/21)
When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. Not your usual fantasy film as this is a coming-of-age film, it is pure escapism and it also about growing up and adolescent, that would touch people heart and connect with this.
A woman in her sixties, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van – dwelling modern – day nomad. Outstanding and an honest film which is poignancy, the scenery is amazing and it is moving and you would connect to this film, it about choosing your own paths and I personally connect to this film and it is sincere.
