  1. Helen Mirren is one of our great actresses. On your list I have seen The Duke and Eye in the Sky (with you). Here’s some others to consider:
    1. Trumbo (2015) – True story about a film script writer. Also starring Bryan Cranston.
    2. The Queen (2006) – She won an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II.
    3. Calendar Girls (2003) – comedy based on a true story.
    4. Last Orders (2001) – great small film also starring Michael Caine, Tom Courtenay, David Hemmings, and Bob Hoskins. Not a bad little cast.
    5. The Madness of King George (1994) – based on the true story of King George III. Script written by Alan Bennett.
    6. The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover (1989) – also starring Michael Gambon as a very threatening villain.
    7. The Long Good Friday (1980) – sometimes forgotten that she stars alongside Bob Hoskins.
