Super Mario Bros

Two Brooklyn plumbers, Mario, and Luigi must travel to another dimension to rescue a princess from the evil dictator King Koopa and stop him from taking over the world. Firstly, the visual in this film is excellent and the story is there plus this is well casted. The film in general take itself too seriously and it not as funny as the villain isn’t memorable, I just think in general it not as enjoyable enough and that is a real shame as I wanted to like this film a bit more.

Crater (2023 Disney Plus)

After the death of his father, a boy growing up on a lunar mining colony takes a trip to explore a legendary crater, along with his four best friends, prior to permanently leaving the moon and relocated to another planet. It is one of those film that has got potential and I like the story, this feel like a one-off television programme and it hard to connect with this film, the characters are hard to like and I couldn’t get into with this film and unfortunately this film doesn’t really work.

Matilda

A girl gifted with a keen intellect and psychic powers uses both to deal with her crude, distant family and free her kind teacher from their sadistic headmistress. Charming, cute, and likeable film with a likeable lead, the intention is there and the story is good but it can be too over the top in certain places in this film, it not as subtle enough as it should be and it has got some nice moment, it is a well-made film despite of the flaws.

A Good Person

Follows a teenager named Allison whose life falls apart following her involvement in a fatal accident. One of those film which has got a fantastic ending that will move you, plus silently Morgan Freeman is superb, the story is spot on despite it doesn’t flows or gel together and it not as subtle enough as it should be, if you get past that this is a well-made film and the intentions is there.

Mrs Harris Goes To Paris

A widower cleaning lady in 1950s London falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress and decides that she must have one of her own. A feel-good experience film which is watchable from start to finish, it will made you smile and this is easy to watch but the only thing is the pacing is slightly off, it sorts of falters a little bit earlier on but it recovers and you ended up like this film, as this is enjoyable and this is a nice film.

Super 8

During the summer of 1979, a group of friends witness a train crash and investigate subsequent unexplained events in their small town. With this film it automatically drawn you in and you care about with these characters, this is totally unpredictable and the first hour is really good, the second hour is superbly made and this a coming of age film and it can be slightly gory in certain places, the only flaws is the ending as it isn’t quite there, but despite that it still a good film and you should give this a chance.
