10.The Wizard Of Oz

Young Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto are swept away by a tornedo from their Kansas farm to the magical Land of Oz and embark on a quest with three new friends to see the Wizard. This might be rather dated for some people, the songs are memorable and this is colourful plus I grow up watching this film, this is pure escapism and this is suitable for a rainy-day type of film and this is watchable, this is one of those film you can revisit anytime you like.

9.Mamma Mia! (2008 – 2018)

Five years after the events of Mamma Mia! (2008), Sophie prepares for the grand reopening of the Hotel Bella Donna as she learns more about her mother’s past. Some people will like this and some don’t as this will divide people, The soundtrack is catchy and generally cheesy but in a good way, this is a feel-good experience and the characters are likeable and overall, this a nice film and it is a charming film which is joyous and uplifting.

8.Fighting With My Family

A former wrestler and his family make a living performing at small venues around the country while his kids dream of joining World Wrestling Entertainment. Underdog type of film which is a crowd pleaser as this is uplifting, plus also it based on a true story, it also a coming-of-age film and the moral is chasing your dream and I personally connect with that message, it is well casted and this can be rather funny and this is silently powerful and relatable.

7.Dora And The Lost City Of Gold

Teenage explorer Dora leads her friends on an adventure to save her parents and solve the mystery behind a lost city of gold. Visually stunning as the CGI/SFX is amazing and realistic plus this is a fun film, it also balances the comedy element with the darker aspect and for me personally it certainly works, it is one of the best adventure films as it didn’t take itself too seriously and this is well casted, this is funny and heartfelt at the same time and overall, it will made you smile.

6.Charlotte’s Web

Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that come that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen. You should give this film a chance as this is cute and heart-warming, this is inoffensive and a nice film that will capture your heart, this is well made and this has got a cute story, if you wanted a perfect family film this is ideal for you.

5.Black Beauty (2020)

A wild horse and a teenage girl form an unbreakable bond which keeps them connected for a lifetime. Might be too predictable and it could be rather forced or too sentimental for some people but this is moving, it has got a good cast and they are convincing as this got a beautiful story and it will move you, it also about finding yourself and I’m sure people will connect to that message and the main lead is likeable, this is beautiful and this film is enjoyable from the start.

4.Antz

A rather neurotic ant tries to break from his totalitarian society while trying to win the affection of the princess he loves. Quietly an underrated animation film which is exciting and with excellent vocal talent, this is a simple film with a memorable villain and this can be rather funny in certain places, the animation itself is gorgeous to look at as this is superbly made, this is entertaining and this is light-hearted as this is an enjoyable film.

3.Mulan (2020)

A girl disguises as a male warrior and joins the imperial army to prevent her sick father from being forced to enlist as he has no male heir. Eye catching film with stunning scenery and this will draw you in, the set pieces is truly outstanding and it is action pack but it never loses the story, you care about with these characters as they are likeable, it is one of those film that will entertain you and it also move you at the same time, for me personally this is underrated.

2.Love, Simon

Simon Spier keeps a huge secret from his family, his friends and all his classmates: he’s gay. When that secret is threatened, Simon must face everyone and come to terms with his identity. I think personally this film has got a sensitive topic but it still upbeat and uplifting, the moral is families and friends plus finding yourself as this is relatable, the acting is amazing and it will leave you a lasting impression on you, this is a nice film and this is silently powerful and it will move you.

1.Ratatouille

A rat named Remy who can cook makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous Paris restaurant. One of the best Pixar films as this is suitable for all ages and a family viewing, it also got an unlikely friendship aspect with this film and it certainly work as this is sincere, the characters are great as the film in general is memorable as this can be funny, this is inoffensive as this is charming and this is a cute film.

  1. Okay, I’ve caught up now. I think that films in this category should never fail to make you smile, no matter how many times you have seen them before. So here are some more suggestions that work for me:
    Big – Tom Hanks again
    Home Alone – definite feel good factor
    Sister Act – don’t know why I watch this every time it is on TV but I do.
    Stand By Me – great friendship film
    Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Producers – all classic Mel Brooks, never fail to make you smile.
