10.Slime (12A) Dir Barry Sonnenfeld
A young and wheelchair – bound kid named Ned live on an Island but unfortunately it runs by awful adults that made kids miserable, so Ned befriends an unlikely friendship with a monster he created to takes revenge. For me personally I would love Barry Sonnenfeld to direct this, he normally made live action film like Men In Black films and a bit of dark comedy of Addams Family. So maybe a newcomer for example Sunny Pawar from the film Lion (2016), for the main lead and it will be an all – stars cast for the adults’ roles.
9.Code Name Bananas (PG) Dir Raja Gosnell
In 1940, Britain is at War with Nazi Germany, eleven-year-old Eric spends his days at London Zoo and he loves Gertrude the gorilla. With bombs falling all over London Eric must rescue Gertrude and Eric and his uncle Sid a keeper at the zoo goes on the run with Gertrude, but while hiding out they uncover a top-secret Nazi plot. Raja Gosnell films are all different type of genre and I would like Linda Cardellini to voice Gertrude, maybe Rowan Atkinson as the uncle plus it will be kids friendly with a likeable lead and maybe Kodi Smit – McPhee could play him.
8.Demon Dentist (12A) Dir Jason Reitman
Darkness had come to the town, strange things that happen in the dead of night and children would put a tooth under their pillow for the tooth fairy, but ended up with creepy crawling underneath their pillow, was it evil at work who or what behind it. With this type of book, the most ideal director is Jason Reitman, some of his films are coming of age and it would be amazing if Carrie Coon play the villain, plus it would be good if the other casting would be from his other films.
7.Awful Auntie (PG) Dir Brad Silberling
Aunt Alberta is on a mission to cheat the young Lady Stella Saxby out of her inheritance – Saxby Hall. But with mischievous and irrepressible Scoot, the cockney ghost of a chimney sweep, alongside her Stella is determined to fight back. This would be like Casper meet with Lemony Snicket A Series Of Unfortunate Events, maybe Nick Frost would vocal Scoot as it should be CGI and Ruby Barnhill would play Stella, this also be suitable for all ages and a family viewing.
6.Spaceboy (12) Dir JJ Abrams
In 1960s America, a 12-year-old orphan Ruth live with her auntie on a remote farm. One night Ruth star gazing and she witness a flying saucer crash landing in a field. Personally, there is one director would do this justice and it is JJ Abrams, there is a promising newcomer named Darby Camp would play the main lead, it will be like a coming of age but in space and the other casting from his films.
5.Fing (PG) Dir Niki Caro
Myrtle Meek has everything she could possibly want. But everything isn’t enough. She wants more, more, more! When Myrtle declares she want a FING, there is one problem what is a FING? Mr and Mrs Meek visit a spooky library vault to delve into the dusty pages of mysterious Monsterpedia. Their desperate quest leads to the depths of the jungle where the creature live. Too be honest with you I only see one film of Niki Caro film but with her film they always got clear message, so this would be the same and maybe Kevin Costner and Maria Bello play the parents, even a newcomer would play the daughter in this family film.
4.The Beast Of Buckingham Castle (12A) Dir Jennifer Yuh Nelson
It is 2120, London is in ruins and the young prince Alfred has never known a life outside Buckingham Palace, but when strange going on breach its walls and stalk the corridors in the dead of night, he is thrust into a world of mystery, adventure and monsters and when his mum, The Queen is dragged away to the Tower of London, Alfred must have courage to save his mum and save the entire city. With this director she would explore the mythological behind this potential film, Gwendoline Christie would play the mum and maybe a newcomer would play the main lead, plus it will be like a mixture of fantasy/ mystery type of film.
3.MegaMonster (PG) Dir James Bobin
On a Volcanic island, in the middle of shark – infested waters, stands The Cruel School. When Larker is sent to the school for pulling a prank, she quickly realises that odd things happen, can Larker unravel the teacher’s wicked plot? I can imagine this as the next Harry Potter type of film, the good thing with James Bobin he balances the comedy aspect with the darker element, with certain fantasy films with superb CGI/SFX, maybe the casting aspect will be from his films.
2.The Ice Monster (12A) Dir Peter Jackson
When Elsie, an orphan on the streets of Victorian London, hears about the mysterious Ice Monster a woolly mammoth found at the North Pole, she’s determined to discover more and a chance encounter bring Elsie face to face with the creature, and sparks the adventure of a lifetime from London to the heart of the Arctic. Once I thought about it, I automatically think of Peter Jackson, I would love Andy Serkis to play the creature with motion capture, with his films it got stunning scenery and this will be the same, it will star the same people from his films.
1.Bad Dad (U) Pete Docter & Bob Peterson
A boy named Frank whose dad is thrown into prison for driving the getaway car in a bank robbery. Frank hatches a daring plan to break his father out of prison for the night so they can put the stolen money back. But will the evil crime boss Mr Big stop them. My first thought for this potential film it should be by Pixar, with Pete Docter & Bob Peterson at the helm and maybe it should have an all-star vocal talent in this, it will have got a good moral to this potential film.
