10.Snowpiercer

In a future where a failed climate change experiment has killed all life except for the survivors who boarded the Snowpiercer (a train that travels around the globe), a new class system emerges. It is one of those film that can be rather full on, but underneath it all there is a brilliant story as it is intriguing, if you get past the brutal aspect it slowly drawn you, this is a well – made film.
9.Terminator 2: Judgment Day

A cyborg, identical to the one who failed to kill Sarah Connor, must now protect her ten-year-old son John from an even more advanced and powerful cyborg. An old school type of film with stunning CGI/SFX, it got an amazing soundtrack and it has got a perfectly good sinister villain and that is the key to this film, it got that emotional aspect and the ending is superb, it is entertaining.
8.Planet Of The Apes Trilogy (2011 – 2017)

A substance designed to help the brain repair itself gives advanced intelligence to a chimpanzee who leads an ape uprising. Two years after the misanthropic bonobo Koba attacked the human survivors in San Francisco, plus Caesar and The Apes find a new home safe from humans. But after the tragic deaths of the most recent attack from the humans, Caesar embarks on a mission to kill the ruthless human Colonel. These three films are consistent and generally exciting and it like an epic film, the scenery is outstanding and this is eye catching from start to finish, overall, this is action packed but it never loses the story and this is superb.
7.I Am Legend

Years after a plague kills most of humanity and transforms the rest into monsters, the sole survivor in New York City struggles valiantly to find a cure. A character driven film with a multilayered story that work perfectly, the main lead is likeable and this will move you and you care about with these characters, the story is fantastic and it does hold your interest, the film itself is gorgeous to look at and it slowly drawn you in, the ending is superb and this is a good film.
6.Love And Monsters

Seven years after he survived the monster apocalypse, lovable hapless Joel leaves his cozy underground bunker behind on a quest to reunite with his high school sweetheart. Too be honest with you I was surprised with this film, it balances the darker element with the comedy aspect and that does work, this is a memorable film and this is silently powerful and the main lead is likeable, it is funny and heartfelt at the same time as this is entertaining, this is underrated and a good film.
5.City Of Ember

For generations, the people of the City of Ember have flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights. But Ember’s once powerful generator is failing and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. This is like a dystopian kids type of film and it got two likeable leads, the film itself is eye catching from start to finish and this is watchable, at the heart of this film it like an adventure tale and for me personally it’s work, this is an underrated and a superb film.
4.The Hunger Games (2012 – 2015)

Set in a future North America known as “Panem”, the Capitol selects a boy and a girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each of the twelve outlying districts to complete in the annual Hunger Games and battle to survive along the way. With these four films they are always consistent and exciting, if you get past the brutal aspect the story is spot on and the acting is convincing, the pacing is perfect and it does hold your interest, the set pieces is outstanding and eye catching.
3.9 (2009)

When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post – apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Fantastic looking film with an emotional aspect, it also leaves you a lasting impression on you as this is silently powerful, it is a memorable film that will stay with you, overall, this is a beautiful film.
2.I, Robot

In 2035, a technophobic cop investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot, which leads to a larger threat to humanity. A thought-provoking film that will made you think and the ending is superb, it is totally unpredictable and it is action packed but it still has got a good story, it has got an all – star cast and the visual is spectacular and it does hold your interest, overall, this is entertaining and this is one of the best Will Smith films.
1.WALL.E

In the distant future, a small waste – collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind. Parts of this film is like a post – apocalyptic type of film that mixed in with the science fiction aspects, it is funny and heartfelt film that will made you smile, this is pure escapism and this is suitable for all ages and a family viewing as well, you will connect with this film and this is one of the best Pixar films.
Here’s some older ones in this genre that you might have missed:
1. Metropolis (1927) – powerful silent movie
2. Logan’s Run (1976) – everyone has to give themselves up to die when they turn 30.
3. Blade Runner (1982) – Always reminds me of the Runcorn skyline. Blade Runner 2049 good as well.
4. A Clockwork Orange (1971) – very realistic except they still have typewriters in the future, not computers.
5. The Matrix (1999) – I’m sure you will have seen this
6. 1984 starring John Hurt based on the book by George Orwell.
7. Solyent Green (1973) – scary!
8. District 9 (2009) – horrifying
9. 28 Days Later (2002) – 28 Weeks Later is good too.

I have seen The Matrix and I thought it is really good, those films that you reccomended they all sounded really good and interesting, I will be checking up with those films
