Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves

A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Firstly, I wanted to like this but I find this generally disappointing, this is simply unfunny and it is trying too hard for becoming funny as well, I just feel in general the villain isn’t memorable, it got an all – star cast and too be fair with them it’s the film, not the casting at all and it doesn’t really deliver.

The BFG

An orphan little girl befriends a benevolent giant who takes her to Giant Country, where they attempt to stop the man – eating giants that are invading the human world. Gorgeous looking film with amazing visual and also CGI/SFX, this is not as charming and the film in general seem rather rushed, it doesn’t really explore the friendship enough and this feel rather safe as well, this is one of the weakest Steven Spielberg film, I wonder how much input he has been giving especially for the studio, this has got great potential but I just feel it could be better.

Ainbo: Spirit Of The Amazon

A young hero and her spirit guides “Dillo” a cute and humorous armadillo and “Vaca” a goofy oversized tapir, who embark on a quest to save their home in the spectacular Amazon rainforest. Too be honest with you I don’t get the hate for this film as it got a good story, the animation itself is eye catching and it is perfectly paced, some of the humour work well but it never laugh out loud funny, there is an emotional core to this film but it doesn’t leave you a lasting impression on you, despite that it is enjoyable and a likeable film.

Enola Homes 2

Now a detective for hire, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case to find a missing girl as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends and Sherlock himself to unravel. Some sequels can be rather disappointing, this is one of the better ones as this is clever and totally unpredictable, the main lead is likeable and this is fun and entertaining as well, at least they thought about the casting and it is spot on, overall, this is a brilliant film.

San Andreas

In the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey with his ex-wife across the state in order to rescue his daughter. It might be too predictable and some people might not like disaster film, for me personally this is one of the best ones, it doesn’t seem rushed and there is a real emotional aspect and that does works, you care about with these with characters and the ending is superb, this is exciting and entertaining.

Enola Holmes

When Enola Holmes (Sherlock’s teen sister) discovers her mother is missing, she endeavours to find her, becoming a super – sleuth in her own right as she outwits her famous brother and unravels a dangerous conspiracy. Personally, I was surprised with this film as it didn’t take itself too seriously, the emotional aspect is spot on and you generally care with these characters, this is exciting and entertaining at the same time, the casting is perfect and the film itself is likeable.
