10.House Of Wax (IMDB – 5.5/10)

A group of teens are unwittingly stranded near a strange wax museum and soon must fight to survive and keep from becoming the next exhibit. Normally with slasher type of film there is no backstory, with this one it has got a brilliant story and the characters are likeable, it might not be to everyone taste but with those two positive things that made this a good film, overall, this is well made and this is one of the best Jaume Collet – Serra film.
9.It Chapter 2 (IMDB – 6.5/10)

Twenty-seven years after their first encounter with the terrifying Pennywise, the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back. Perfectly paced film which does hold your interest and this is intriguing, you generally care about with these characters and Bill Skarsgard is brilliant as the villain, if you get past the brutal aspect this is a superb coming of age type of film.
8.Suspiria (IMDB 6.7/10)

Against the backdrop of violent political unrest in a perpetually gloomy 1977 Berlin, sheltered Mennonite and ambitious dancer Susie Bannion arrives at the prestigious Helena Markos Dance Academy, right after the mysterious disappearance of a troubled student. If you get past the weirdness and the odd ending to this film, the pacing is brilliant and it does hold your interest and this is certainly memorable, it slowly drawn you in from start to finish, this is a superb film.
7.Hocus Pocus 2 (IMDB – 6.0/10)

Two young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson sisters to modern day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child – hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world. Too be honest with you I was surprised with this film, it might not be groundbreaking but this is generally funny and heartfelt, Doug Jones is hilarious in this role and the chemistry between the two lead is spot on, there is more of the story than the first one and this is a superbly made film.
6.The Haunted Mansion 2003 (IMDB – 5.1/10)

A realtor and his wife and children are summoned to a mansion, which they soon discover is haunted, and while they attempt to escape, he learns an important lesson about the family he has neglected. Don’t judge this film at all as this is entertaining and it is fun, it also didn’t take itself too seriously and that is the key, plus the CGI/SFX is amazing, it also balances the lighter aspect with the darker moment and for me personally it certainly works, this a family type of film.
5.The Nun (IMDB – 5.3/10)

A priest with a haunted past and a novice on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun. A period horror film with a good mystery and the film itself look gorgeous, this is memorable from start to finish and this is totally unpredictable, it also creep you under your skin as it got great jump scare, the story is there and for me personally this is so underrated.
4.Paranormal Activity (IMDB – 6.3/10)

After moving into a suburban home, a couple becomes increasingly disturbed by a nightly demonic presence. Found footage type of film which is superbly done and this is generally chilling, this is one of the best demonic films which I’m not normally into this type of genre, but with this one it surprises me and it does work, the nonprofessional casting is totally believable and convincing as the acting is amazing, this is one of those film that will surprise you.
3.Wendell & Wild (IMDB – 6.4/10)

Two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot to summon them to the Land of the Living. Once you watch this it will leave you a lasting impression on you, it got a multilayered story and you will care about with these characters, it might be rather full on for some people but despite of the weirdness this is a beautiful film, the vocal in this film is spot on and the film in general is attractive to look at.
2.The Secret Of Marrowbone (IMDB – 6.7/10)

In 1960s rural America, a young man and his three younger siblings, who have kept secret the death of their beloved mother in order to remain together, are plagued by a sinister presence in the sprawling manor in which they live. Quietly this is a superb psychological horror film and it silently creep you under your skin, the performance in this film is totally convincing and believable, this is totally unpredictable and the twist at the end is amazing, it is intriguing and the film in general is outstanding, for me personally this is so underrated as it is a good film.
1.Monster House (IMDB – 6.6/10)

Three teenagers, DJ, Chowder and Jenny think that after mean old man Nebbercracker died from a heart attack at his house, they all think it’s over, but they are wrong. Halloween motion capture type of film and this is wonderful, it got an easy to follow story and the characters are great and the animation itself is gorgeous to look at, it got an emotional aspect but it never feel forced and there is a backstory to this film, this is heartfelt and this can be exciting and funny at the same time, in some ways this feel like an coming of age adventure film and this is enjoyable.
