5.Viceroy’s House

In 1947, Lord Mountbatten assumes the post of last Viceroy, charged with handling India back to its people, living upstairs at the house which was the home of British rulers, while 500 Hindu, Muslim, and Sikh servants live downstairs. Michael Gambon play Lord Lionel “Pug” Ismay as this film is well casted, it has got a brilliant story and the film in general is a slow burner type of film, this is intriguing and the pacing is perfect and it does hold your interest, this is a well-made film.
4.The King’s Speech

The story of King George VI, his unexpected ascension to the throne of the British Empire in 1936, and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch overcome his stammer. It got an all-star cast and they are convincing in their roles, especially Michael Gambon as King George V. For me personally it’s the chemistry between Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush that made this film good, this is easy to watch as this is an underdog type of film, if you like a true story film this is ideal for you.
3.Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their third year of study, where they delve into the mystery surrounding an escaped prisoner who poses a dangerous threat to the young wizard. Eye catching film and a thrill ride experience and this is colourful, the characters are great and especially Albus Dumbledore which Michael Gambon play, this is a perfect fantasy film with a multilayered story, this is enjoyable, funny, and charming.
2.Sleepy Hollow

Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people, the culprit is legendary apparition The Headless Horseman. One of the best Tim Burton films as this will creep you under your skin, Michael Gambon play Baltus Van Tassel the father of Christina Ricci character, this is like a period horror film and that work perfectly, overall, this is intriguing and it will draw you in from start to finish.
1.Paddington (2014 – 2017)

Having settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, Paddington has become popular in his community, offering people emotional support in various ways. Both films are consistent and they are funny and heartfelt, Michael Gambon play the vocal of Uncle Pastuzo as he in from the start of the first film and the flashback element in the second film, this is a great film for all ages and a family viewing film, it also a crowd pleaser and this is watchable from start to finish.
I liked Michael Gambon as an actor. In addition to your suggestions, I can add:
1. Dad’s Army (2016) played Godfrey in the film version
2. Quartet (2012) Musicians in a retirement home, directed by Dustin Hoffman
3. The Cook The Thief His Wife & Her Lover (1989) – plays a viscous gangster married to Helen Mirren
Two great roles on TV were:
1. Maigret 1992 -1993
2. The Singing Detective 1986
