10.Yogi Bear

A documentary filmmaker travels to Jellystone Park to shoot a project and soon crosses paths with Yogi Bear, his sidekick Boo – Boo and Ranger Smith. Too be honest with you this is quietly entertaining, it might not be everyone taste as this will divide people as some will like this and some don’t, this also suitable a family viewing type of film and the story is easy to follow, this is light-hearted and the CGI/SFX is amazing, for me personally this is the ultimate family film.
9.The Phantom Of The Open

Maurice Flitcroft, a dreamer, and unrelenting optimist, manages to gain entry to the 1976 British Open Golf Championship qualification round despite being a complete novice. For me personally the fantasy element doesn’t really work, it might not gel or flow together as much but despite that this is a well-made film, it is well casted and this is a likeable underdog type of film, the ending is superb and it show you the real Maurice Flitcroft, overall, this is a superbly made film.
8.Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story

Biography of Ben Carson who grew up to be Dr Ben Carson, a world-famous neurosurgeon at John Hopkins. Normally with TV type of film they can be rather weak, but with this one it is one of the best ones, the acting is amazing and totally believable and the flashback elements never gets too overcomplicated, it might not leave you a lasting impression on you but this still an intriguing film.
7.Don’t Worry Darling

While her husband leaves home everyday to work in a top-secret facility, a young 1950s housewife begins to question her life when she notices strange behaviour from the other wives in the neighbourhood. Underneath the weirdness to this film this will made you think as it is thought provoking, it got an all star cast and they all convince in their roles, this is totally unpredictable and this is memorable from start to finish, the ending is slightly weak but this is a clever film.
6.Pavarotti

Filmmaker Ron Howard examines the life and career of famed opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, featuring never before seen footage, concert performances, and intimate interviews with family and colleagues. With this documentary this go in depths with the man himself Pavarotti, it also interesting and it will draw you in as the pacing is perfect, it might not gel or flow together from the start but this is still watchable, this documentary will surprise many people as this is good.
5.The Marsh King’s Daughter

A woman with a secret past will venture into the wilderness she left behind to confront the most dangerous man she’s ever met: her father. Characters driven and a memorable film with a fantastic story, it never gets too overcomplicated with the flashback element and that is the key to this film. It is quietly powerful and it will move you plus the acting is outstanding, the ending is slightly disappointing and that is a small thing, once you watched this you will always remember this.
4.Easy A

A clean-cut high school student relies on the school’s rumour mil to advance her social and financial standing. If you get past the sexual aspect to this film this is a beautiful coming of age, it about reputation and having expectations on a person, I personally connect with that message and I’m sure people will connect with that, the main lead is likeable and this is well casted, it will move you and this is silently powerful, it will leaves you a lasting impression on you.
3.The Breadwinner

In 2001, Afghanistan is under the control of the Taliban. When her father is captured, a determined young girl disguises herself as a boy in order to provide for her family. Hand drawn animation film which is certainly memorable, it might be too hard hitting for some people but it needed to be like that, it is a diversity type of film which is important, this will surprise many people with this film.
2.Dark Waters

A corporate defence attorney takes on an environmental lawsuit against a chemical company that exposes a lengthy history of pollution. Don’t judge this film at all as it is one of those film that nothing really happens, it still creeps you under your skin as it got that psychological element, the pacing is perfect as it does hold your interest, this is unpredictable and this will draw you in.
1.9 (2009)

When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post – apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Eye catching and gorgeous looking film with a multilayered story, it is another film which leaves you a lasting impression on you, the scenery is outstanding and the characters are great, I admire this film that try to be something different, this is one of the better posts – apocalyptic film.
