10.Uncle Frank

In 1973, when Frank Bledsoe and his 18-year-old niece Beth take a road trip from Manhattan to Creekville, South Carolina, for the family patriarch’s funeral, they unexpectedly joined by Frank’s lover, Walid. It might falter just a little bit in the midsection of this film, but this is surprisingly real and honest plus relatable, it is a LGBTQ type of film and that is important, this might be slightly hard hitting for some people but it needed that, the flashback element never gets too overcomplicated and this is well casted, the ending is fantastic and it will draw you in.
9.Wonka

With dreams of opening a shop in a city renowned for its chocolate, a young and poor Willy Wonka discovers that the industry is run by a cartel of greedy chocolatiers. Could be on the verge of rather cartoony but this is character driven, the ending and the musical elements bring those emotional depths to this film, the main lead is likeable and the film itself look gorgeous, this is pure escapism and a rainy-day type of film, it will move you as this is silently powerful.
8.Fighting With My Family

A former wrestler and his family make a living performing at small venues around the country while his kids dream of joining World Wrestling Entertainment. A film that will touch people heart and this is inspirational, in some ways this sad and uplifting like with the main lead struggles, this can be funny and heartfelt at the same time, it about chasing your dream and this is relatable to people, it is joyous and a likeable film that will made you smile, this is simply a beautiful film.
7.David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived

A coming-of-age documentary of Daniel Radcliffe and his stunt double David Holmes, whose close friendship endures a life – changing accident. Being on the verve of hard hitting for some people but this is heartwarming, it about an unlikely friendship and people will connect with that aspect, this can be funny in certain places as it didn’t take itself too seriously, this is generally powerful.
6.The Theory Of Everything

A look at the relationship between the famous physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife Jane Hawking. Don’t judge this film as this is never boring as the pacing is perfect, the main two lead have got great chemistry together, the story is brilliant as it certainly pays respect to Stephen Hawking, this is about overcoming many obstacles as this is life affirming, this film will move you.
5.Elemental

The film journeys alongside an unlikely pair Ember and Wade, in a city where fire, water, land and air residents live together. The fiery young woman and go with the flow guy are about to discover something elemental: how much they have in common. Fantastic looking animation film which is eye catching from start to finish, you will care about with these characters especially the main lead personal struggles, it got a multilayered story and it deals with the appearances aspect, for me personally this is refreshing as this is heartwarming and cute.
4.The Call Of The Wild

As the great Klondike Gold Rush is attracting both ambitious treasure hunters and bold adventurers to the unforgiving territories of Canada’s late 1890s Yukon, Buck, a pampered St Bernard – Scotch Collie dog, finds himself without a master in a frozen new world. Everything about this film ticked all the boxes, it got a beautiful story, the villain is memorable and it got stunning scenery, this is from the dog perspective and you can go on a journey, plus it will move you, this is my go-to film as it always made me smile, for me personally this is underrated.
3.Otto Baxter: Not A F**king Horror Story

We follow Otto Baxter, a 35-year-old man with Down Syndrome, over six years, as he writes and directs a foul – mouthed, autobiographical comedy – horror – musical set in Victorian London. Having watched this documentary this touch my heart as it relatable to me, this might not be as subtle as it supposes to be, it tries to be something different which I admire and this is powerful, it goes in depths with the subject matter and that is the key, this is life affirming and relatable.
2.I Kill Giants

A teenager named Barbara Thorson struggles through life by escaping into a fantasy life of magic and monsters. Gorgeous looking film and this will capture your heart, you will care about with these characters as they are relatable, this is like a drama fantasy film and the animation look amazing, this is silently powerful and it will leave you a lasting impression on you, it is watchable.
1.Inside Out

After young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school. Just breathtaking as the idea to this film is genius, it got great characters and this is certainly memorable, I personally believe it about memories and looking back to your childhood, I’m sure people will connect with that aspect, this is wonderful and this is suitable for all ages.

I can’t add much more to the list I added at the end of Volume 1. Recent films that would come into this category would probably include:
The Great Escaper – Glenda Jackson’s last film
Living – Bill Nighy’s understated acting class
Empire of Light – Olivia Colman shows the ups and downs of living with poor mental health

Good choice with Living as this is a superbly made film as I see it with the parents, I must watch out for The Great Escaper and Empire of Light
