10.Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
Exiled into the dangerous forest by her wicked stepmother, a princess is rescued by seven dwarf miners who make her part of their household. Fairytale type of film with an easy-to-follow story, the villain is certainly memorable and the songs are catchy, it is easy to follow as well as this is intriguing from start to finish, it might be rather dated but this is gorgeous to look at.
9.Onward
In a magical world full of technological advances, elven brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot set out on an adventure to resurrect their late father for a day. It has got an all star cast and this film is heartwarming, it might not be groundbreaking but this is a heartfelt film and it will touch people heart, it has got elements of fairytale in this film, this is relatable and this is generally cute.
8.Frozen
Fearless optimist Anna teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey to find Anna’s sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Having watch this film on the cinema and I thought wow, the songs are quietly powerful and catchy, it got a fairytale style of story as this can be funny in places, it might not be for everyone but this has got great characters, this is enjoyable and watchable.
7.Wish
A young girl named Asha wishes on a star and gets a more direct answer than she bargained for when a trouble – making star comes down from the sky to join her. Don’t judge this film at all as the main lead is likeable, this film has got that style of fairytale, it slowly draws you in from start to finish, not exactly suitable for cynical type of people, this film will surprise many people.
6.The Princess And The Frog
A waitress, desperate to fulfil her dreams as a restaurant owner, is set on a journey to turn a frog prince back into a human being, but she has to face the same problem after she kisses him. Gorgeous looking film with amazing jazz songs, it also a diversity type of film which is important and a feminism main lead, the film itself has got the fairytale aspect, this is fun and joyous.
5.Aladdin
A kind – hearted street urchin and a power – hungry Grand Vizier vie for a magic lamp that has the power to make their deepest wishes come true. Everything about this film ticked all the boxes, the villain is memorable, the story is spot on as it got that fairytale element, this is generally funny and the soundtrack to this film is powerful and catchy, the vocal to this film is perfect and overall, this is a nice film.
4.Beauty And The Beast
A prince cursed to spend his days as a hideous monster sets out to regain his humanity by earning a young woman’s love. Cute and heartwarming love story that will capture people heart, it might feel too sentimental and rather forced for some people, the film itself is like a fairytale look and that is refreshing, if you wanted a perfect date night film this is ideal for you.
3.Tangled
The magically long – haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is. Just perfects for a date night type of film, in general this film itself is gorgeous to look at, the visual is outstanding and it got that feel of a fairytale film, this is heartwarming and cute.
2.Puss In Boots (2011 – 2022)
Sadly, Puss in Boots, the undaunted Spanish lover and hero, is now down to the last of his nine lives, a decade after the events of Puss In Boots (2011). Being action packed with these two films but it never loses the story itself, it has got some aspect of fairytale element in the two films, the characters are great and it is laugh out loud funny, in some ways these are heartfelt.
1.Shrek (2001 – 2010)
A mean lord exiles fairytale creatures to the swamp of a grump ogre, who must go on a quest and rescue a princess for the lord in order to get his land back, Shrek go on an adventure and a journey and he meet eccentric characters along the way. All these films are consistent and exciting at the same time, the characters are great and the film in general feel like a fairytale style of films, it will move you and this is relatable, this also suitable for all ages and a family viewing.
