Article: Top 5 Die Hard Films From Worst To Best

5.A Good Day To Die Hard

John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working undercover, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces. Firstly, this film has got great ideas and it hasn’t got the pacing issues, but unfortunately this is too action packed and it loses a bit of the story, the chemistry isn’t there with Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney, it also takes itself too seriously despite that it didn’t deliver.

4.Die Hard 2

John McClane attempts to avert disaster as rogue military operatives seize control of Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. Personally the story is there and this is watchable from start to finish, for me personally the villain isn’t that memorable and that is the only thing, despite that it does hold your interest, it silently draws you in as this is generally exciting.

3.Die Hard 4.0

John McClane and a young hacker join forces to take down master cyber – terrorist Thomas Gabriel in Washington D.C. One of those film that didn’t take itself too seriously and that is the key, the casting is perfect and the story is there, it has got the same problem with Die Hard 2 as the villain isn’t as memorable, that is the only thing and this is fun and a thrill ride type of film.

2.Die Hard With A Vengeance

John McClane and a Harlem store owner are targeted by German terrorist Simon in New York City, where he plans to rob the Federal Reserve Building. The chemistry between Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson is superb, Jeremy Irons is perfect as the villain, it is action packed but it never loses the story itself, this is another thrill ride type of film, as this is exciting from start to finish.

1.Die Hard

A New York City police officer tries to save his estranged wife and several others taken hostage by terrorists during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles. With amazing set pieces as this is action packed but it never loses the story itself, Alan Rickman is brilliant as the sinister villain, it is eye catching and it slowly draws you in, this is entertaining and fun at the same time, this is the ultimate action film.
