10.Scoop (2024)

How the BBC obtained the bombshell interview with Prince Andrew about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This might not be a perfect film but underneath it all there is a wonderful story, this is watchable from start to finish as this is intriguing, it also an all-British film which is refreshing, overall if you wanted a film that will draws you in, this is ideal for you.
9.Worth

An attorney in Washington D.C. battles against cynicism, bureaucracy, and politics to help the victims of 9/11. It might not be groundbreaking and if you being patience, you will be rewarding with this superbly made film, it is one of those film that never really happen as this is silently good, in my eyes this film will surprise many people.
8.Spotlight

The true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover – up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core. Quietly this film is certainly well made with an all-star cast, the story is there and this is another film which is intriguing, it pays respect to those people who inspire this film, this is rather good.
7.The Post

A cover – up spanning four U.S. Presidents pushes the country’s first female newspaper publisher and her editor to join an unprecedented battle between press and government. For me personally it’s the ending that is superb, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep got excellent chemistry together, in some ways this is silently good and watchable, it will draw you in from the start.
6.Mr. Jones

A Welsh journalist breaks the news in the western media of the famine in Ukraine in the early 1930s. One of those film that surprise me as the main lead is likeable, it also rather unpredictable as this is slowly thought provoking, it will made you think and the scenery is outstanding, the acting is amazing and totally convincing, it also surprises many people.
5.Boston Strangler

Loretta McLaughlin was the reporter who first connected the murders and broke the story of the Boston Strangler. She and Jean Cole challenged the sexism of the early 1960s to report on the city’s most notorious serial killer. Personally, for me it lacks the psychological element for this film, in some ways I admire this film as it is a feminism type of film, it also based on a true story and it inspire those people behind this film, personally you should give this film a chance.
4.The Company You Keep

After a journalist named Ben Shepard discovers his identity, a former Weather Underground activist goes on the run. With this film it got that emotional aspect and you will care about with these characters, the casting is perfect and spot on and all they all convince in their roles, it is eye catching and the ending is superb, it will move you as this film is certainly memorable.
3.The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Journalist Mikael Blomkvist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for 40 years by young computer hacker Lisabeth Salander. Could be rather full on for some people, the pacing is perfect as it does hold your interest, it is unpredictable and the chemistry between the two lead is spot on, there are twist and turn throughout the film, this is superb and well made.
2.Official Secrets

The true story of a British whistleblower who leaked information to the press about an illegal NSA spy operation designed to push the UN Security Council into sanctioning the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Beautiful film that will touch your heart, you will care about with these characters as this film will move you, it is one of those film with twist and turn throughout the film, this is superb.
1.She Said

New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor’s quest to break the Harvey Weinstein scandal. A psychological drama that will leave you a lasting impression on you, once you watch this film you will always remember this as this is memorable, the two leads have got excellent chemistry together, this is the ultimate journalism movies as this is one of the best ones.

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997) – A visiting city reporter’s assignment suddenly revolves around the murder trial of a local millionaire, whom he befriends. Stars John Cusack and Kevin Spacey.
