The Flash

Barry Allen uses his super speed to change the past, but his attempt to save his family creates a world without superheroes, forcing him to race for his life in order to save the future. Firstly, I wanted to like this film and it has got amazing set pieces, but unfortunately this film seems rather rushed and the pacing is slightly off, it hasn’t got that emotional aspect as it needed that. I don’t want to be too harsh on this film, for me personally this film doesn’t really deliver.

Book Club

Four lifelong friends have their lives forever changed after reading 50 Shades of Grey in their monthly book club. One of those film with an all star cast and the story is there. It is watchable from start to finish, I just feel in general this feel too safe, it doesn’t offer you anything new and fresh, it might not gel or flow together as much, this is still a cute and heartwarming film.

The Fundamentals Of Caring

A writer retires after a personal tragedy and becomes a disabled teen’s caregiver. When the two embark on an impromptu road trip, their ability to cope is tested as they start to understand the important of hope and friendship. The chemistry between the two lead is excellent. It has got some nice moment in this film as this is fun and joyous, the thing is with this film it isn’t quite subtle, it also doesn’t offer you anything new or fresh, despite that it is enjoyable and easy to watch, it might not be groundbreaking but it still a good film.

Empire Of Light

A drama about the power of human connection during turbulent times, set in an English coastal town in the early 1980s. Personally it’s the acting that is totally believable and convincing. it is a slow burner type of film which is generally powerful, it nearly a five-star film but it’s the pacing which is slightly off, but despite that it is certainly memorable, overall, this is a well-made film.

Jim Henson: Idea Man

This documentary will feature interviews of fans of Jim Henson’s work, interspersed with footage from Jim Henson’s works, including Wilkins and Wontkins Commercials that were previously lost. A documentary that touch my heart as I personally connect with this, it about life and chasing your dream and this is relatable for people, it will leave you a lasting impression on you as this is powerful and it will move you, this is heartfelt and inspirational as well.

The Shawshank Redemption

Over the course of several years, two convicts form a friendship, seeking consolation and, eventually, redemption through basic compassion. Could be rather full on for some people but this is a beautiful film, the acting is amazing and it silently draw you in from start to finish, the ending is superb and this will move you. Once you watch this you will always remember this film, it will leave you a lasting impression on you as this is totally memorable.

I’ve seen Empire of Light and Shawshank Redemption and agree that they are both excellent.
