Maria Altmann, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family. Slow burner type of film with an all-star cast, the acting is amazing and I personally believe the message is believe in yourself, also find some inner strength inside of you. This based on a true story and the flashback elements never gets too overcomplicated, with all those elements in this film, this is inspirational.

8.Hachi: A Dog’s Tale

Professor Wilson discovers a lost Akita puppy on his way home. Despite objections from his wife, Hachi endears himself to the family and grows to be Parker’s loyal companion. As their bond grows deeper, a beautiful relationship unfolds. Hachi: A Dog’s Tale taught us how to love and caring for others, that is an important subject for many people as this is quietly powerful, the ending will move you and the film itself is memorable, it will touch people heart.

7.The Pursuit Of Happyness

A struggling salesman takes custody of his son as he’s poised to begin a life – changing professional career. One of those film which the message is never giving up always keep going, the story is beautiful and this is generally powerful, it is one of the best Will Smith films and this is an underdog type of film, this is inspirational due to the topic with homelessness and the theme to this film.

6.The Orphanage (2007)

A woman brings her family back to her childhood home, which used to be an orphanage for handicapped children. Before long, her son starts to communicate with an invisible new friend. A horror film that will move you, the twist is brilliant as this is totally unpredictable, it silently creep you under your skin plus this deals with the afterlife, the ending will surprise you.

5.The Bucket List

Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to – dos before they die. This film got the unlikely friendship aspect and it lovely to see, the chemistry between Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman is spot on, its live life to the full message and with that aspect it is inspirational, the scenery looks outstanding and this is generally heartfelt.

4.A Monster Calls

Conor, a twelve-year-old boy, encounters an ancient tree monster who proceeds to help him cope with his mother’s terminal illness and being bullied in school. Normally with terminal illness film they can be slightly weak, not this one as there is a fantasy element to this film and it certainly works, it deals with griefs and living with it and that what made this inspirational, this is superb.

3.Goodbye Christopher Robin

The relationship between writer AA Milne and his son, Christopher Robin, and how this became the inspiration for Winnie the Pooh. Fame and the consequences plus never let it go to your head, this is an important message to many people. The flashback element never gets too overcomplicated and that is the key, this is eye catching from the start, it will move you.

2.A United Kingdom

The story of King Seretse Khama of Botswana and how his loving but controversial marriage to a British white woman, Ruth Williams, put his kingdom into political and diplomatic turmoil. I like the way there is two different perspectives from a diversity aspect, that is refreshing as this is a beautiful film that will touch your heart, it is easy to follow with a simple story, this is well made.

1.The Theory Of Everything

Stephen Hawking gets unprecedented success in the field of physics despite being diagnosed with motor neuron disease at the age of 21. He defeats awful odds as his first wife Jane aids him loyalty. Relatable film that is close to my heart as I personally connect with this film, it about someone with a disability trying to overcome many obstacles, it will leave you a lasting impression on you, the acting is amazing and totally believable, this is heartfelt and moving.
