Suzume

A modern action-adventure road story where a 17-year-old girl named Suzume helps a mysterious young man close doors from the other side that are releasing disasters all over in Japan. Firstly, I wanted to like this film, it has got a great story, stunning scenery, and the animation itself is gorgeous to look at. But unfortunately, this lacking the emotional aspect and you don’t really care about the characters, I don’t want to be too harsh on this film, this has got great potential, for me personally this is a bit of a letdown and that is a shame.

The Miracle Club

There’s just one dream for the women of Ballygar to taste freedom: to win a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes. It might not gel or flow together as much but it still an enjoyable film, it like a slow burner heartwarming type of film which is silently powerful, it doesn’t leave you a lasting impression on you, despite that this is easy to watch and overall, this is well made.

A Hologram For The King

A failed American sales rep looks to recoup his losses by traveling to Saudi Arabia and selling his company’s product to a wealthy monarch. One of those film with a likeable lead and this is well casted, it is different which I personally admire, the start of this film is brilliant but it falters in the midsection, it not as memorable as it should be, despite that this is watchable and easy to watch.

A Star Is Born (2018)

A musician helps a young singer find fame as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral. The soundtrack to this film is wonderful and totally memorable, the story is amazing and the acting is rather good especially Lady Gaga, the pacing to this film is slightly off as it doesn’t hold your interest, it doesn’t gel or flow together as much, this is rather good.

Iron Will

A brave young man is thrust into adulthood as he and his courageous team of sled dogs embark on a gruelling and treacherous cross – country marathon. A slow burner and an underdog type of film with a simple story, it is another film which the main lead is likeable, it also based on a true story and it inspire those people behind this film, the ending is slightly weak but it still intriguing.

The Karate Kid (2010)

Work causes a single mother to move to China with her young son: in his new home, the boy embraces kung fu, taught to him by a master. Personally, this film surprise me as this is generally powerful and it will move you, it will leave you a lasting impression on you and this is enjoyable, it is joyous and uplifting as well, the chemistry between Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith is spot on. And once you watch this you will always remember this film, it is relatable.

I like the sound of Iron Will
