A woman named Sam finds herself trapped in New York City during the early stages of an invasion by alien creatures with ultra – sensitive hearing. It is one of those film that will drawn you in from start to finish, it might be brutal but it never goes too over the top and that is refreshing. This is more character study and a slow burner type of film; it works as a standalone film which is quietly powerful and it will move you, plus you will care about with these characters. The acting is amazing and it has got some nice moment in the final third of this film, the thing is with this film it feels rather rushed and it doesn’t explain the origins of the aliens itself. Despite that once you watch this it is certainly memorable.

An excellent review. I had a chance to see this movie recently and absolutely loved it. A spectacular horror movie using silence to build tension. While not quite as great as the previous two films, it really impressed me. Lupita N’Yongo was amazing. One of my favourite films of the year so far.
