10.Cars /2006 – 2011/ (Cert PG -13) Dir Rob Letterman

Lightning McQueen is a cocky, rookie race car. Speeding on his way to a big race, he crashes into Radiator Springs, destroying lots of the inhabitants belongings. The cocky roadster is sentenced to community service, eventually he being friends with the inhabitants and traveling around the world with them. With Rob Letterman he would made this his own, a mixture of live action with CGI/SFX. He would put the story in his own style and maybe the casting would be from his other films, it would be like a family friendly type of film.
9.A Bug’s Life (Cert PG) Dir Jon Favreau

A misfit ant, looking for “warriors” to save his colony from greedy grasshoppers, recruits a group of bugs that turn out to be an inept circus troupe. Normally with Jon Favreau he made animals films in a modern world, he would be ideal to made this. The casting will be from his other films, as this would be suitable for all ages, this would be an easy-to-follow potential films.
8.The Good Dinosaur (Cert U) Dir David Lowery

In a world where dinosaurs and humans live side by side, an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. Personally, I would love David Lowery to made this, it would be epic style with stunning scenery, David Lowery always pick the right people and maybe Izaac Wang could play the young boy with an CGI/SFX beside him, it would be a potential cute film.
7.Soul (Cert PG) Dir Andrew Adamson

Joe is a middle school band teacher whose life hasn’t quite gone the way he expected. His true passion is Jazz. But when he travels to another realm to help someone find their passion, he soon discovers what it means to have soul. I believe Andrew Adamson should direct this, as his films about entering a new world. Maybe Mahershala Ali would play Joe with a lot of CGI/SFX around him, It would be a beautiful diversity type of story which is important.
6.Turning Red (Cert 12A) Dir Chloe Zhao

A thirteen-year-old girl named Mei Lee is torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the changes of adolescence. Whenever she gets overly excited, she transforms into a giant red panda. The good thing about Chloe Zhao she would delve into the mythological aspect, also a newcomer would play Mei Lee, it would be character driven, this would move people as well.
5.Elemental (Cert PG) Dir Gil Kenan

The film journeys alongside an unlikely pair Ember and Wade, in a city where fire, water, earth and air residents live together. A mixture of genre of adventure and romance, there is one man who can pull it off and it is Gil Kenan. It could be Saoirse Ronan and Harry Treadaway would play the two main lead, he also thought about the right casting, this would be heartwarming as well.
4.Brave (Cert 12A) Dir Niki Caro

Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse. Just imagine, Niki Caro would direct this as she normally does character driven type of film, it could star Lucy Paez a newcomer would play Merida and the other casting will be from her other films, it will be full on with stunning scenery and from the female perspective.
3.Coco (Cert PG) Dir James Bobin

Aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great – great – grandfather, a legendary singer. Most important with this it must balance the darker element with the lightest aspect, for me personally it should be James Bobin because of that reason, it should be Benjamin Bottani who play Miguel and it will be full on live action with amazing CGI/SFX, this will be heartwarming and beautiful.
2.Monsters, Inc/ University (Cert PG) Paul King

Take a trip back in time to when star Monsters, Inc. employees Mike Wazowski and James P “Sully Sullivan were just two promising young students at Monster University. My first thought was Paul King as he can made live action films, it could be Hugh Bonneville play Sully and Ben Whishaw would be Mike, the one thing with Paul King he thought about the casting, it would be funny and heartwarming at the same time, this will be for all ages and a family viewing.
1.Ratatouille (Cert PG) Dir Chris Sanders

A rat named Remy who can cook makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous Paris restaurant. Having watched this film, I thought Chris Sanders would be ideal, he normally made animals type of film with stunning scenery, maybe Rupert Grint play the young worker with a CGI/SFX rat, this would have an important message of believe in yourself.
Great post. I have never considered this before but it does sound like a smart idea. I love Pixar’s animated movies. However, I do feel live action remakes wouldn’t be nearly as great as the original films. For instance, Toy Story 3 is practically a perfect movie in every way. Does it really need a remake in live action?
Still, a great idea that could potentially work. Recently, I had a chance to make a list of my favourite Pixar movies. Here’s my picks for the best movies made by the studio:
