10.Mamma Mia (2008 – 2018)
Five years after the events of Mamma Mia! (2008), Sophie prepares for the grand reopening of the Hotel Bella Donna as she learns more about her mother’s past. Might not be for everyone but this is a feel-good experience, the characters are likeable and the soundtrack is catchy, it is charming and it will made you smile, it is uplifting as this is easy to watch as it is watchable.
9.Annie
A foster kid who lives with her mean foster mom sees her life change when business tycoon and New York City mayoral candidate Will Stacks makes a thinly – veiled campaign move and takes her in. Could be on the verge of too sentimental and rather forced for some people, the soundtrack to this film is superb and catchy, it is light-hearted and inoffensive plus this is a nice film. The main is likeable and it has got a simple story, overall, this is joyous and uplifting.
8.Hotel For Dogs
Two mischievous orphans as they attempt to hide dozens of stray dogs in an abandoned hotel. Disheartened by their new guardian’s announcement that pets are strictly forbidden. This will divide people as some will like this and some don’t, the two lead have got superb chemistry together, it is another film which is inoffensive as this is cute. If you wanted an easy-to-follow film this is ideal for you, it is watchable from start to finish plus this is joyous and uplifting.
7.Fast Girls
An athlete, who belongs to a poor neighbourhood, dreams of becoming a world champion. She joins the national track team and overcomes the hostility of her fellow teammates to achieve her goal. It might be rather predictable but this is an enjoyable film, this is an all-British film and the casting is spot on, this is about chasing your dreams and people will connect with that. This will surprise people as this is one of the best sports films.
6.Cinderella
When her father unexpectedly dies, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her scheming stepsisters. Never one to give up hope, Ella’s fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger. Amazing CGI/SFX that made this eye catching, it will surprise people as this is surprisingly good, this has got a beautiful story, this is certainly memorable.
5.The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society
In the aftermath of World War II, a writer forms an unexpected bond with the residents of Guernsey Island when she decides to write a book about their experiences during the war. Then she learns the secret they are afraid to reveal. Firstly, I know this is a war film but it tries to be heartwarming, the ending is beautiful and it will capture your heart, it got an all stars cast and they all convince in their roles, this is unpredictable and this is easy to watch.
4.Hachi: A Dog’s Tale
Professor Wilson discovers a lost Akita puppy on his way home. Despite objections from his wife. Hachi endears himself to the family and grows to be Parker’s loyal companion. As their bond grows deeper, a beautiful relationship unfolds. Personally, I didn’t know this film based on a true story, the acting is amazing and totally convincing, it might be sad but it still uplifting and it about kindness, people will connect with this film as this is relatable.
3.Toy Story (1995 – 2019)
Toy Story is about the ‘secret life of toys’ when people are not around, the toys go on many adventures and meet new people along their way. One of those films you can watch on a rainy day, all these films are consistent and they are heartfelt with great characters, the vocal in this film are spot on, those films can be funny as these are suitable for all ages and a family viewing.
2.The Bucket List
Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to – dos before they die. A heartfelt film with an unlikely friendship aspect, the chemistry between Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman is excellent. It got stunning scenery and the story is superb, it might be sad but it also tries to be heartwarming, it is funny and this is generally heartfelt.
1.Up (2009)
78-year-old Carl Fredricksen travels to Paradise Falls in his house equipped with balloons, inadvertently taking a young stowaway. Ultimate comfort film as this is about life and memories. The characters are great as this can be funny, this is another film with stunning scenery as this is eye catching, it will leave you a lasting impression on you, it got a multilayered story and you will care about with these characters, this is suitable for all ages and a family viewing type of film.
