Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, and Agnes welcome a new member to the family, Gru Jr, who is intent on tormenting his dad. Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina, and the family is forced to go on the run. Firstly, this has a got a star-studded vocal talent and brim with comic one liner. The animation itself is gorgeous to look at and the characters are memorable, but unfortunately this feels rather hyperactive and it never calm down. This isn’t one for the adults as this is more suitable for the younger generation, as it not laugh out loud funny. I don’t want to be too harsh on this film as it got some potential with a superb villain, it is such a shame as I wanted to like this but with these flaws it didn’t quite deliver.
