10.Viceroy’s House (IMDB 6.7/10)

Taking on the arduous task of helping form an independent India, Lord Louis Mountbatten attempts to push through the conflicts engulfing the subcontinent. One of those film that will draws you in from start to finish, the story is spot on as this is silently watchable, it is intriguing and I reckon it will surprise many people, once you watched this you will always remember this.
9.Joe Bell (IMDB 6.2/10)

A working – class father embarks on a nationwide walk to combat bullying after his son’s high school bullying, realizing he’s missing out on his son’s life back home. For me personally it’s the acting that made this film worth watching, this is a LGBTQ film which is important and a good subject matter, it might be hard hitting with some people, this is silently a relatable film.
8.True History Of The Kelly Gang (IMDB 6.0/10)

Ned Kelly, a young boy who grows up in a rebellious immigrant family, is pushed into a life of crime. Soon, he becomes a bushranger, gathers an inner circle and is forced to flee from authorities. Too be honest with you I was surprised with this film, it is well casted and they all convince in their roles, it might be rather hard hitting for some people, another film which draws you in.
7.Mr. Jones (IMDB 6.9/10)

Based on real events, a Welsh journalist breaks the news in the western media of the famine in Ukraine in the early 1930s. Perfectly paced film which certainly hold your interest. Once you watch this you will always remember this, this is intriguing from start to finish as the story is spot on, the film itself is certainly memorable, it is moving and this is silently powerful.
6.Churchill (IMDB 6.0/10)

Ninety – six hours before the World War II invasion of Normandy, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill struggles with his severe reservations with Operation Overlord and his increasingly marginalized role in the war effort. The opening sequence to this film is certainly memorable. It is well casted and they all convince in their roles, another film which move you as this is quietly powerful, the two main leads have got great chemistry together, this is a superbly made film.
5.Ferrari (IMDB 6.4/10)

Set in the summer of 1957, with Enzo Ferrari’s auto empire in crisis, the ex – racer turned entrepreneur pushes himself and his drivers to the edge as they launch into the Mille Miglia, a treacherous 1,000 – mile race across Italy. A slow burner type of film with a good cast. In general the acting is amazing and totally believable, the race itself in this film is generally exciting in this epic style of film, I reckon it will surprise many people, this is well made.
4.The Electrical Life Of Louis Wain (IMDB 6.8/10)

English artist Louis Wain rises to prominence at the end of the 19th century for his surreal cat paintings that seemed to reflect his declining sanity. Could be rather surreal and weird for some people, for me personally it needed it in this film. This is about getting old and life in general as this film is relatable, it tries to be something different which I admire, it is eye catching.
3.Public Enemies (IMDB 6.9/10)

The Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd during a booming crime wave in the 1930s. It has got an all-star cast and they’re all superb in this film. This is another film which the pacing is just perfect, it certainly holds your interest from the start, it also another epic style of film, this film deserves a real chance.
2.Munich: The Edge Of War (IMDB 6.8/10)

A British diplomat travels to Munich in the run – up to World War II, where a former classmate of his from Oxford is also en route but is working for the German government. Quietly this is a superbly made film, it is an unpredictable film which is clever. It will made you think as it is thought provoking, if you wanted a slow burner type film that will made you think, this is ideal for you.
1.A United Kingdom (IMDB 6.9/10)

The story of King Seretse Khama of Botswana and how his loving but controversial marriage to a British white woman, Ruth Williams, put his kingdom into political and diplomatic turmoil. Beautiful film that will capture people heart, it deals with the diversity element and that is important. The main two lead have got great chemistry together, for me personally this film is certainly underrated, it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
American Splendor (2003) – Cleverly mixing live-action drama, animated inserts, and interviews with the artist Harvey Pekar himself, “American Splendor” is a unique biopic that got critical acclaim but did not do well in cinemas. Stars Paul Giamatti.
Trumbo (2015) – In 1947, Dalton Trumbo was Hollywood’s top screenwriter, until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs. Stars Bryan Cranston.
Marvellous (2014) – The life of Neil Baldwin, a disabled man who shrugged off his perceived limitations to live an incredible life. He became the kit man for Stoke City. Brilliantly played by Toby Jones.
