10.Pinocchio /Live Action/ (IMDB 5.1/10)
A puppet is brought to life by a fairy, who assigns him to lead a virtuous life in order to become a real boy. Despite the musical element doesn’t quite work. The CGI/SFX is outstanding and eye catching, the ending is clever and there is a new spin which I admire, it has got an all – star cast and they all convince in their roles, overall, this is surprisingly cute film which is watchable.
9.Boston Strangler /2023/ (IMDB 6.5/10)
Loretta McLaughlin was the reporter who first connected the murders and broke the story of the Boston Strangler. She and Jean Cole challenged the sexism of the early 1960s to report on the city’s most notorious serial killer. It’s the midsection that loses it way just a little bit with this film. if you get past that this film is certainly unpredictable, the acting is amazing and totally believable, overall, this film will draw you in from start to finish, this is worth watching.
8.Empire Of Light (IMDB 6.7/10)
A drama about the power of human connection during turbulent times, set in an English coastal town in the early 1980s. Another film which loses it way just a little bit in the midsection. This is generally powerful and it will move you, the acting is wonderful with an all – star cast, the story is beautiful and you will surprise with this film, once you watched this film you will remember this.
7.The Finest Hours (IMDB 6.7/10)
The Coast Guard makes a daring rescue attempt off the coast of Cape Cod after a pair of oil tankers are destroyed during a blizzard in 1952. Being based on a true story it pays respect to those people behind this film. From the start of this film it doesn’t gel or flow together as much, it is intriguing from start to finish with this film, it is worth watching, plus this is a slow burner film.
6. Cinderella /2015/ (IMDB 6.9/10)
When her father unexpectedly dies, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her scheming stepsisters. Never one to give up hope, Ella’s fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger. Eye catching film with amazing CGI/SFX. the story is beautiful and it will capture people heart, it could be on the verve of too sentimental and rather forced for some people, this is a calming type of film which you needed, it is watchable from the start.
5.Black Beauty /2020/ IMDB 6.4/10)
A wild horse and a teenage girl forge an unbreakable bond which keeps them connected for a lifetime. Calming type of film which you needed. The good thing with this film you will care about with these characters, it is another film which could be on the verve of too sentimental and rather forced for some people, this will touch people heart, it is heartfelt and beautiful film.
4.Unstoppable /2010/ (IMDB 6.8/10)
With an unmanned, half – mile – long freight train barrelling toward a city, a veteran engineer and a young conductor race against the clock to prevent a catastrophe. Having watched this film I thought wowed, this is more character driven than the action-packed aspect, I find that refreshing and that is the key to this film, I reckon it will surprise many people.
3.Sky High (IMDB 6.3/10)
Will, the son of The Commander and Jetstream, is enrolled in Sky High, a school for the children of superheroes. There, he discovers his true powers and learns about loyalty and friendship. Finding yourself and believe in yourself is the theme to this film. it is entertaining from start to finish as this is surprisingly good, the characters are great and they are relatable, this is an inoffensive and a cute film, it might not be for everyone but this film is totally different.
2.Mulan /2020/ (IMDB 5.8/10)
To keep her ailing father from serving in the Imperial Army, a fearless young woman disguises herself as a man and battles northern invades in China. Gorgeous scenery with a great story in this feminism type of film. That is important and it is action packed without loses the story itself, it deals with the diversity element which is important, it is funny and it didn’t take itself too seriously and that is the key, overall, this is entertaining and a heartfelt film.
1.Pete’s Dragon /2016/ (IMDB 6.7/10)
The adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who happens to be a dragon. Just breathtaking as this film is relatable for many people. the meaning of family and finding yourself which I personally connect with, it will touch people heart and it will leave you a lasting impression on you, you will care about with these characters, it is silently powerful.
