10.Hillbilly Elegy

An urgent phone call pulls a Yale Law student back to his Ohio hometown, where he reflects on three generations of family history and his own future. Could be rather hard hitting for some people, this is extremely powerful and it will move you. The midsection loses its way just a little bit, the acting is amazing and totally believable, it will touch your heart. (Previous 3/5 Now 4/5)

9.Jungle Cruise

Based on Disneyland’s theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travellers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles but with a supernatural element. Entertaining and an action-packed film which is fun. It never loses the story itself and that is the key, the chemistry between the two lead is superb. This is watchable and the story is simple, the villain is the weakest part of this film, this is enjoyable. (Previous 3/5 Now 4/5)

8.Strange World

The legendary Clades are a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest and most crucial mission. An important animation film which is LGBTQ, it’s all in the end and that is an important subject, the story is simple and easy to follow as this is watchable. The only thing is the villain itself isn’t as memorable, this is suitable for all ages. (Previous 3/5 Now 4/5)

7.My Week With Marilyn

Colin Clark, an employee of Sir Laurence Olivier, documents the tense interactions between Olivier and Marilyn Monroe during the production of The Prince and the Showgirl (1957). Being a slow burner type of film. If you being patience with this film you will be rewarded, it has got an all star cast and they all convince in their roles, it doesn’t quite gel or flow together as much. Despite that this film is certainly intriguing. (Previous 3/5 Now 4/5)

6.Long Way North

In 1882, a young Russian aristocrat goes on an epic adventure to find out what happened to her grandfather and save her family’s reputation. Don’t judge this film as this got a beautiful story, it has got stunning scenery and this will draw you in, it could have been a five-star film but I personally feel it doesn’t gel or flow together as much, this is still watchable and it still a memorable film. 5.Pavarotti

Filmmaker Ron Howard examines the life and career of famed opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, featuring never before seen footage, concert performances, and intimate interviews with family and colleagues. I’m not normally into classic music but this documentary wowed me, it is heartfelt and it will move you, the music element is outstanding and this is intriguing from start to finish, you will always remember this documentary. 4.The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan

D’Artagnan arrives in Paris trying to find his attackers after being left for dead, which leads him to a real war where the future of France is at stake. He aligns himself with Athos, Porthos and Aramis, three musketeers of the King. Fantastic period type of film that will surprise you, it isn’t your average Hollywood type of film and that is refreshing, this also never gets too over the top and that is the key, it might be in subtitles but it never put you off. 3.The Company You Keep

After a journalist named Ben Shepard discovers his identity, a former Weather Underground activist goes on the run. Given this film it has got an all-star cast. They all convince in their roles and them are believable, it is totally unpredictable with twists and turns, it will silently draw you in from start to finish, this is one of those film that will keep you guessing. 2.Rising Phoenix (2020)

The history and current standing of the Paralympic Games, which has grown to become the world’s third largest sport event. Having watched this documentary I thought wowed. My first thought the sport element loses it momentum, but when I thought back it didn’t. For me personally I connect with it as it about appearances, it is quietly powerful and in general this is truly inspirational, it will touch people heart as it will move you. (Previous 4/5 Now 5/5)

1.Klaus

After proving himself to be the worst student at the academy, a postman is sent to a frozen town in the North where he discovers a reclusive toymaker named Klaus. Just breathtaking as this is a beautiful film, the vocal in this film is superb and spot on. It will leave you a lasting impression on you, the ending is superb and you will always remember this film. My first thought it doesn’t gel or flow together, when I think back it doesn’t do that. Overall, this is suitable for all ages and a family viewing. (Previous 4/5 Now 5/5)
