10.Knock At The Cabin

While vacationing, a girl and her parents are taken hostage by armed strangers who demand that the family make a choice to avert the apocalypse. Despite this film feel rather rushed and it can be brutal in this film. Underneath it all there is a wonderful story, the acting is believable and convincing. The flashback element never gets too overcomplicated and that is the key, this is an LGBTQ film and that is important, it has got a brilliant twist at the end.
9.The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Journalist Mikael Blomkvist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for 40 years by hacker Lisbeth Salander. Could be rather hard hitting for some people. this feels unpredictable as this film keep you guessing, the pacing is perfect as it does hold your interest from start to finish, overall, this will silently draw you in, in general this film is certainly memorable.
8.The Pale Blue Eye

Veteran detective Augustus Landor investigates a series of grisly murders with the help of a young cadet who will eventually go on to become the world-famous author Edgar Allan Poe. Gothic type of film which is a slow burner and it got a good cast. The ending will move you as it got a brilliant twist, it might be rather dark and it got some brutal element in this film, if you get past that this is underrated, once you watch this you will always remember this.
7.The Good Liar

A con man makes a wealthy British widow his next target but what begins as a run of the mil job turns into a high – stakes game when startling facts come to light. A film with brilliant acting that made this film good. This is an all-British film and that is refreshing, might be rather brutal in some places of this film, if you get past that it will slowly draw you in, it will surprise people.
6.A Haunting In Venice

In post – World War II Venice, Poirot, now retired and living in his own exile, reluctantly attends a séance. But when one of the guests is murdered, it is up to the former detective. Eye catching period film which is rather good, the story is fantastic, it has got all-star cast, it deserves a chance.
5.Murder On The Orient Express

When a murder occurs on the train on which he’s travelling, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot is recruited to solve the case. Fantastic looking film with an all – star cast. The twist itself is rather clever as this doesn’t feel too predictable, it never gets too overcomplicated and that is the key to this film, it is one of those film that will keep you guessing, it also got fantastic scenery.
4.Now You See Me

An FBI agent and an Interpol detective track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances, and reward their audiences with the money. Being an action-packed film it never loses the story itself. This is thought provoking and it will made you think, it is clever and watchable at the same time, it like a thrill ride type of film, it is exciting and entertaining.
3.Death On The Nile

Egypt, 1937. While on vacation on the Nile, Hercule Poirot must investigate the murder of a young heiress. I haven’t seen the original one but this has got a fantastic twist. This is another film which never gets too overcomplicated, this also got fantastic scenery and the film itself is eye catching, in general this film didn’t take itself too seriously, this is silently an underrated film.
2.Presence (2024)

Longing for a fresh start, the Payne family becomes convinced they are not alone after moving into their new home in the suburbs. Having watched this film I thought wow. it got that feel of a found footage type of film, this is more character driven than you expected and that is refreshing, I reckon it will surprise many people, it got an ending that you won’t expected.
1.The Orphanage (2007)

A woman brings her family back to her childhood home, which used to be an orphanage for handicapped children. Before long, her son starts to communicate with an invisible new friend. Just breathtaking as this film will creep you under your skin. It a mixture of psychological with the mystery elements, for me personally it certainly works. It will leave you a lasting impression on you, the ending will move you as it got an unexpected twist, this is character driven and in general this film will wow people.
