I’ll Be Right There

Wanda wants to take care of everyone in her life. She barely has time for herself, not that she would know what to do with it anyway. One of those film that has got a great story, the pacing is perfect and it certainly hold your interest, but unfortunately the film itself isn’t relatable and it doesn’t move you; the characters are hard to like despite I wanted to like this film, it has got massive potential and for me personally it didn’t quite deliver.

Thelma

When 93-year-old Thelma Post gets duped by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson, she sets out on a treacherous quest across the city to reclaim what was taken from her. I admire this film that try to be something different. It also didn’t take itself too seriously, for me personally this film itself seems rushed, also the end of this film is slightly weak. Despite that it has got some nice moment in this film, this isn’t a bad film as this is good.

Goodrich

Andy Goodrich’s life is upended when his wife enters a rehab program, leaving him on his own with their young kids. Goodrich leans on Grace, his daughter from his first marriage, as he ultimately evolves into the father she never had. The idea and the story behind this film is superb. The casting is perfect as they all convince in their roles, it is one of those film that doesn’t offer you anything new or fresh, the film itself feels too safe. Overall, this film is perfectly watchable from start to finish, this isn’t perfect but it still a good film.

The Lovely Bones

Centres on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from purgatory. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal. Gorgeous looking film which certainly hold your interest. It got that emotional aspect with an all-star cast, it lacks the psychological element and the role of Stanley Tucci isn’t as memorable or sinister, overall, it has got stunning scenery, this film is memorable.

Nr. 24 (2024)

On the brink of the Second World War, a young Norwegian man’s drive to resist the Nazis sets a new course for his future – and the future of his country. Personally, once you watched this film you will always remember this. the flashback element never gets too overcomplicated and that is the key, the only thing with this film it didn’t gel or flow together as much, it will move you as this is silently powerful, plus the ending to this film is excellent.

The Big Year

Two bird enthusiasts try to defeat the cocky, cutthroat world record holder in a year long bird spotting competition. A feel-good experience which you needed with this film. It will made you smile from start to finish; you will care about with these characters as this film is relatable, it nearly a five stars film but I just feel in general, it doesn’t gel or flow together as much, it has got stunning scenery; it is an inoffensive film which is cute and heartwarming.

I like the sound of NR24. I’ll watch out for this one.
