5.Dumbo (2019)

A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer. Eye catching film with an all star cast and they all convince in their roles. It has got a beautiful story, I just feel in general Tim Burton is out of his comfort zone. The villain isn’t as memorable, overall, this is one of the weakest Disney live action films, it is a real shame.
4.Nocturnal Animals

A wealthy art gallery owner is haunted by her ex – husband’s novel, her memories of their relationship, and her regrets about her life. The idea and the story behind this film is superb. The pacing is perfect with good casting, but unfortunately it hard to keep up with the flashback elements, it becomes confusing time to time, I wanted to like this film but I couldn’t get into it.
3.After Yang

In a near future, a family reckons with questions of love, connection, and loss after their A.I. helper unexpectedly breaks down. Another film which the idea and the story behind this film is superb. It certainly draws you in from start to finish, one of those film that doesn’t leave you a lasting impression on you, it also hard to care about with these characters, I couldn’t get into it.
2.All Of Us Strangers

A screenwriter drawn back to his childhood home enters into a fledgling relationship with his downstairs neighbour while discovering a mysterious new way to heal from losing his parents 30 years ago. I admire this film that tries to be something different. My first thought I would connect with this film as it is an LGBTQ type of film, for me personally this film is too overcomplicated with too many ideas, it becomes too weird and surreal, it is a real shame
1.A Bug’s Life

A misfit ant, looking for “warriors” to save his colony from greedy grasshoppers, recruits a group of bugs that turn out to be an inept circus troupe. With a simple story that is easy to watch. It also suitable for all ages and a family viewing, for me personally it lacks the charm and it isn’t laugh out loud funny, it also feels too safe, for me personally it one of the weakest Pixar films.
