Follow one extraordinary man’s quixotic and recklessly brave adventure in search of hidden treasure, in a belated rite of passage to rediscover the meaning of his life. Relaxing type of documentary. It is uplifting and life affirming as this will move you, if you get past the weak ending itself this will draw you in, this is silently watchable, overall, this is certainly memorable.
9.Nonnas
After losing his beloved mother, a man risks everything to honour her by opening an Italian restaurant with actual grandmothers as the chefs. Personal journey that mixed with chasing your dreams, plus the unlikely friendships. You get this beautiful film as this is silently powerful, I didn’t know this based on a true story. Might not gel or flow together as much, it will surprise people.
8.Black Beauty (2020)
A wild horse and a teenage girl forge an unbreakable bond which keeps them connected for a lifetime. Quietly this film will touch people heart. It might not be for everyone but this is heartfelt, you will care about with these characters. It is charming as this film is relatable, this is enjoyable from start to finish, if you wanted a cute and heartwarming film this is ideal.
7.I Kill Giants
12-year-old Barbara Thorson struggles through life by escaping into a fantasy life of magic and monsters. Visually amazing as this is eye catching from the start. It partly a terminal illness film with the mental health aspect with this film, I’m sure people will connect due to those elements together, once you watch this film you will always remember it, it is certainly memorable.
6.The Art of Racing In The Rain
Enzo, a golden retriever, learns that the methods used on the racetrack by his owner, a Formula One driver, can also be used to navigate through life. Keep reaching out for families and friends. That is the moral of this film, not exactly suitable for cynical people. The story is beautiful and heartfelt, the ending is clever as this is silently good, overall, this a superbly made film.
5.The Pursuit Of Happyness
A struggling salesman takes custody of his son as he’s poised to begin a life – changing professional career. Might be too predictable but it’s the acting that shine through. The father and son aspect is touching and beautiful, it is one of those film that will draw you in. the story will move you as it about overcoming many barriers, it will touch people heart, this is surprisingly worth watching.
4.The Call Of The Wild (2020)
During the late 1890s Klondike Gold Rush. Buck, a pampered St. Bernard – Scotch Collie dog, struggles for survival in the wilds of the Yukon. This is a flawless five stars film. The scenery is outstanding as this is eye catching, it is another film which is cute and heartwarming plus it will made you smile, it is easy to watch as this is watchable, it will surprise many people.
3.Nomadland
A woman in her sixties, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van – dwelling modern day nomad. One of those film that will wow you. It is another film which has got stunning scenery, I love the message of choosing your own paths and don’t let anyone influence you, this is silently powerful, it will touch you.
2.A Man Called Ove
Ove, an ill – tempered, isolated retiree who spends his days enforcing block association rules and visiting his wife’s grave, has finally given up on life just as an unlikely friendship develops with his boisterous new neighbours. Silently with this film you will care about with these characters. It has got a sensitive topic of suicide but this try to be heartwarming, this is life affirming as this is about life in general, once you watch this film you will always remember this, it will move you.
1.The Impossible
The story of a tourist family in Thailand caught in the destruction and chaotic aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. You can say I can put in any J.A. Bayona films in my list. This film will capture people heart; this could be hard hitting for some people. It never feels forced or too sentimental, normally with disasters film they feels rushed, this one doesn’t do that. It about hope and determination and that is important, it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
