I didn’t know this film based on a true story. It also a feminism type of film and that is important, the story is spot on and it slowly draw you in from start to finish, it also an underdog type of film, it is worth watching.
9.Munich: The Edge Of War

A British diplomat travels to Munich in the run – up to World War II, where a former classmate of his from Oxford is also en route, but is working for the German government. One of those film you must stay patience with, you will be rewarding with this unpredictable film. The story is fantastic and it will draw you in, it has got twist and turn, this is surprisingly good film.
8.The Pale Blue Eye

Veteran detective Augustus Landor investigates a series of grisly murders with the help of a young cadet who will eventually go on to become the world – famous author Edgar Allan Poe. Gorgeous looking film that will creep you under your skin. It got that psychological element and that is important, it another film with twist and turn, it is another unpredictable film with a brilliant ending. Once you watch this film you will always remember it, it is superbly made film.
7.Carry – On (2024)

A mysterious traveller blackmails a young TSA agent into letting a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Eve flight. Exciting and a thrill ride experience film. It is entertaining from start to finish, the villain itself is perfectly sinister and memorable, it might be action packed but it never loses the story itself, this is the ultimate action film as this is superbly made film.
6. Enola Holmes Collection (2020 – 2022)

Fresh off the triumph of solving her first case, Enola Holmes follows in the footsteps of her famous brothers, Sherlock, and opens her own agency – only to find that life as a female detective for hire isn’t as easy as it seems. A clever spin of Sherlock Holmes tales which is refreshing. It is action packed and it never loses the story itself, it is entertaining and it didn’t take itself too seriously. These films are consistent, if you wanted something different this is ideal.
5.Wendell & Wild

Two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot to summon them to the Land of the Living. With a multilayered story you will care about with these characters. This is a beautiful coming of age film that will touch your heart, it could be on the darker side for the younger generation, the animation itself is certainly memorable. If you wanted something different this is ideal for you, overall, this film deserves a real chance.
4.Joy (2024)

Spanning from 1968 to 1978, the film will follow three trailblazers facing opposition from the church, state, media and medical establishment, in their pursuit of the world’s first ‘test tube baby’, Louise Joy Brown. Heartwarming film that will wow people. It never feels forced or too sentimental and that is the key, this is quietly powerful and it will move you, the acting is amazing and totally convincing, it might be a slow burner and if you are patience you will be rewarding.
3.Dumplin’

Willowdean, an overweight teenager of a yesteryear beauty queen, decides to participate in her mother’s Miss Teen Bluebonnet pageant to prove a point. Behind this film is about the personal journey aspect. It is relatable for many people as this is a heartwarming film, this film will made people smile as this is a feel-good type of film, it is a feminism film which is refreshing and important, this is wonderful and a heartfelt film which is surprisingly good.
2.The Half Of It

When smart but cash – strapped teen Ellie Chu agrees to write a love letter for a jock, she doesn’t expect to become his friend – or fall for his crush. Lovely LGBTQ film that will touch people heart. It is a beautiful coming of age film which is heartfelt, it can be funny in places as this is heartwarming, you will care about with these characters, this is powerful and it will move you.
1.Society Of The Snow

The flight of a rugby team crashes on a glacier in the Andes. The few passengers who survive the crash find themselves in one of the world’s toughest environments to survive. Perfectly paced film which certainly hold your interest. It might be bleak and depressing and it can be hard to watch, to be fair with this film it tries to shy away with the violence, it’s the ending that will leave you a lasting impression on you, it has got stunning scenery and this film will move you.
I recently saw an 8 episode series on Netflix called Residence. It’s about a murder in the White House and has lots of twists and turns. I think you’ll like it.
