10.Scooby – Doo (2002 – 2004)
A group of friends who like to solve mysteries have to face the past as multiple enemies from their past lives show up and begin wreaking havoc on the city. Personally, I don’t get the hate for these film. With these films it will divide people, the characters are great as they all convince in their roles, it can be funny in places as it doesn’t take itself too seriously, these are watchable.
9.Pokemon: Detective Pikachu
In a world where people collect Pokémon to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent talking Pikachu who seeks to be a detective. Some people will like this and some don’t as this will divide people. It is action packed but it never loses the story itself, it can be moving as it got that emotional aspect, it has got an all-star cast, I reckon it will surprise many people.
8.Goosebumps
A teenager teams up with the daughter of young – adult horror author R.L. Stine after the writer’s imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware. To be honest with you I was surprised with this film. It got that balance of the darker elements with the comedy aspects, for me personally it certainly works. The CGI/SFX look amazing and realistic, it is entertaining from start to finish, it is well casted in this superbly made film.
7.The Haunted Mansion
A realtor and his wife and children are summoned to a mansion, which they soon discover is haunted, and while they attempt to escape, he learns an important lesson about the family he has neglected. Quietly this film is enjoyable and fun. It got that balance of the darker elements with the comedy aspect, for me personally it certainly works, it is well casted and brim with comic one liner, it might not be for everyone but this is joyous and pure escapism.
6.Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief
A teenager discovers he’s the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on – going battle between the gods. Remarkable CGI/SFX that made this film eye catching. It has got an all – star cast and they all convince in their roles, it delves deep in the mythological aspect and that is important, it can be funny in places, it is surprisingly enjoyable and fun.
5.Jungle Cruise
Dr Lily Houghton, a researcher, and her brother team up with Frank, a skipper, to locate a mystical tree in the Amazon. However, they are pursued by evil entitles lusting after immortality. Underneath the CGI/SFX there is a wonderful story with this film. The villain might not be memorable, if you get past that this is eye catching, the chemistry between Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt is superb, it is enjoyable and watchable at the same time.
4.Zathura: A Space Adventure
Two young brothers are drawn into an intergalactic adventure when their house is hurled through the depths of space by the magical board game they are playing. Zesty adventure film that is full of energy and life. It will silently draw you in from start to finish, it is one of those film which has got a brilliant story, this is certainly entertaining and fun, it is a well-made and film.
3.The Golden Compass
In a parallel universe, young Lyra Belacqua journeys to the far North to save her best friend and other kidnapped children from terrible experiments by a mysterious organization. Visually stunning with amazing scenery. It delves deep with the mythological aspect and that is important, the casting is perfect and spot on, it will draw you in from the start, this is worth watching.
2.Narnia (2005 – 2010)
Evacuated to the British countryside during WWII, four siblings discover a mysterious wardrobe that transports them to the magical land of Narnia, the siblings have to battles many enemies. When you see these films you will be pleasantly surprised. The scenery is beautiful and it has got great characters, the CGI/SFX look outstanding and eye catching, the mixture of the war aspect with the fantasy elements it works perfectly, these films are consistent and exciting.
1.IF (2024)
A young girl who goes through a difficult experience begins to see everyone’s imaginary friends who have been left behind as their real – life friends have grown up. You will care about with these characters. This is one of those film which is suitable for all ages, it is a feel-good experience which you needed, it will capture people heart, it about life in general and people will relate to that; it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
