5.Frantz (Cert 12A) Dir Steven Spielberg
In the aftermath of WW1, a young German who grieves the death of her fiancé in France meets a mysterious Frenchman who visits the fiancé’s grave to lay flowers. There is one man who can pull it off and it is Steven Spielberg. He would put this his own spin on this potential film, maybe Jeremy Irvine would play the mysterious stranger, Olivia Cooke would play the female lead. One thing with Steven Spielberg he would set the era, this will draw you in from the start.
4.Millennium Actress (Cert 15) Dir Christopher Nolan
A TV interviewer and his cameraman meet a former actress and travel through her memories and career. Anything Christopher Nolan do he do it the best. Hong Chau would play the main lead, the cameraman would be Cillian Murphy, with the story itself Christopher Nolan would put his own spin. it will be eye catching and got that epic feel, it will be thought provoking.
3.Grave Of The Fireflies (Cert 15) Dir Niki Caro
The story of Seita and Setsuko, two young Japanese siblings struggle to survive in Japan during World War II. Niki Caro can make sensitive topic in her films. Maybe two newcomers would play the two main lead, it will be heartfelt and this will move you, she will think about with the casting aspect, once you watched this potential film you will remember this.
2.The Red Turtle (Cert U) Dir Kenneth Branagh
A man which is a sailor shipwrecked on a deserted island and encounters a big red turtle, which changes his life. Kenneth Branagh will balance the CGI/SFX with the red turtle. Kenneth Branagh would play the main lead, it will be like a childlike film which about friendships, it will be heartfelt and moving at the same time, I reckon this potential film would be suitable for all ages.
1.Perfect Days (Cert PG) Dir Dexter Fletcher & Anne Fletcher
Hirayama cleans public toilets in Tokyo, lives his life in simplicity and daily tranquillity. Some encounters also lead him to reflect on himself. With those two directors they will made this light-hearted. Maybe Rami Malek would play the main lead, it would have the message of personal journey, it probably leaves you a lasting impression on you, this would be life affirming.
