5.The Garfield Movie (24/05/2024)
After Garfield’s unexpected reunion with his long – lost father, ragged alley cat Vic, he and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered lives to join Vic on a risky heist. An all-star vocal cast in this film. I do like the father and son aspects as this is refreshing, those are the positives in this film, it lacks the charm and it isn’t laugh out loud funny. It doesn’t gel or flow together as much, I wanted to like this but for me it didn’t deliver.
4.The Naked Gun (01/08/2025)
Following in his father’s footsteps, a detective works to solve a murder case and save his police department from closure. The story and the idea behind this film is pretty good. The chemistry between Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson is spot on, but unfortunately the laughs seem forced as this isn’t laugh out loud funny, it can get too weird and surreal and it didn’t need that in this film, it got some potential but due to these flaws it didn’t work.
3.Despicable Me 4 (12/07/2024)
Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina, and the family is forced to go on the run. Another film which has got an all-star vocal cast. The villain is perfectly sinister and totally memorable; those are the positives in this film. The negatives are it doesn’t offer you anything new or fresh, it feels too safe and too predictable, I just feel in general this one too many as there are a lot of Despicable Me films, overall, this is a major disappointing.
2.Lilo & Stitch (21/05/2025)
Stitch, an extraterrestrial entity, comes to Earth after escaping prison, where he tries to impersonate a dog. Things take a turn when a lonely Hawaiian girl, Lilo, adopt him from an animal shelter and he helps mend her broken family. Behind this film I like the message of family and that is refreshing. It has got some nice moment between the two sisters, this isn’t as subtle as it can feel slightly hyperactive, the laughs seem forced and the villain isn’t as memorable. It got some potential but for me personally it didn’t deliver.
1.Dog Man (07/02/2025)
After a policeman and his police dog are fused together to turn into Dog Man, he must stop the villainous Petey the Cat from cloning himself and creating an evil kitten, doubling his evil abilities. Firstly, I do like DreamWorks animation film. This is eye catching from start to finish, this feel rushed and it is too hyperactive, it never calms down, unfortunately it doesn’t work for me.
