August, a boy who suffers from facial deformity, enters a private school in fifth grade. He endures bullying from his peers but finds a way to overcome them with his friends and family. Might not be a perfect film but it still heartfelt. It deals with bullying and appearances as this can be a real tearjerker film, it has got an all star cast and they all convince in their roles, this is suitable for mid teen, this is perfectly watchable.
9.Bridge To Terabithia

Leslie and Jess create the secret kingdom of Terabithia, a land of monsters, trolls, ogres and giants where they spend their free time ruling as king and queen and fighting evil creatures. Personally, if you get past the weak ending to this film this is enjoyable. This is suitable for early teens, as it deals with death and grief, it is eye catching from start to finish. The story and the idea behind this film is superb, it is memorable as this film is silently powerful.
8.Black Beauty

A wild horse and a teenage girl forge an unbreakable bond which keeps them connected for a lifetime. Not suitable for cynical type of people. It’s the bonding with the young girl with the horse that will touch people heart, this film is suitable for early teens, it does deals with the personal journey aspect, this is cute and heartwarming film that is relatable.
7.IF (2024)

A young girl who goes through a difficult experience begins to see everyone’s imaginary friends who have been left behind as their real – life friends have grown up. One of those film that will divide people. It does explore death and that what made a tearjerker film, this is preteens/ tweens type of film, the characters are great and memorable, overall, this is a beautiful film.
6.I Kill Giants

Twelve-year-old Barbara Thorson struggles through life by escaping into a fantasy life of magic and monsters. Quietly this film will move you as this is silently powerful. This films deals with anxiety, trauma, denial and grief as this film explore the mental health aspect, this is for late tweens as this film has got sensitive topic, you will care about with these characters, this will surprise people.
5.Pete’s Dragon

The adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who happens to be a dragon. Relatable characters with the personal journey aspect, that what made this a real tearjerker film. it never feels forced or too sentimental and that is the key, for me personally this is more early teen type of film, this is perfectly watchable as this is an inoffensive film.
4.A Monster Calls

Conor, a twelve-year-old boy, encounter an ancient tree monster who proceeds to help him cope with his mother’s terminal illness and being bullied in school. With this film it does deals with anxiety, trauma, denial and grief as this film explore the mental health aspect. This appropriate for late teen viewing for this film, with this topic this is a real tearjerker of a film, it is eye catching from start to finish, overall, this film is certainly memorable.
3.Big Hero 6

A special bond develops between plus – sized inflatable robot Baymax and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who together team up with a group of friends to form a band of high – tech heroes. Superhero film that will move you. it has got an important message of friends and family plus the grief aspect, this is an animation film and it is a tearjerker as well, it also a mid teen viewing type of film. it is a beautiful film that is relatable for everyone, it will touch people heart.
2.The Call Of The Wild (2020)

Buck, a giant yet generous dog, feels helpless when he is abducted from his home and transported to the remote Yukon. The message to this film is the meaning of home and finding one’s true place in the world. I’m sure people will relate to this message, it has got stunning scenery and it will draw you in, this film is suitable for late teens and the casting is perfect. This is my comfort film as I personally connect with this, it will move you and it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
1.Up (2009)

78-year-old Carl Fredricksen travels to South America in his house equipped with balloons, inadvertently taking a young stowaway. Unlikely friendship and the subject matter are life in general. People will relate to this message, this film is aimed at preteens/tweens as it is suitable for all ages, it is funny, heartwarming and cute at the same time, it will made you smile as it is one of the best Pixar films.
