10.Murder On The Orient Express

Hercule Poirot, the best detective in the world, decides to travel on the Orient Express. The train accidentally gets stopped because of a small avalanche. Little did he know that a murder was planned and that a person on this train was capable of committing such crime. This eye catching from start to finish and I love all the camera angle and the cinematography that tell the story, the characters are likeable and superbly acted by an all star cast in this well-crafted story.

9.Enemy Of The State

A lawyer becomes targeted by a corrupt politician and his N.S.A. goons when he accidentally receives key evidence to a politically motivated crime. In this exhilarating film that it like a conspiracy thriller type of film, this is a character driven type of film and it often bring one liner from its stars. Excellent acting all round in this thought-provoking film that made you think.

8.Phone Booth

Publicist Stuart Shepard finds himself trapped in a phone booth, pinned down by an extortionist’s sniper rifle. Unable to leave or receive outside help, Stuart’s negotiation with the caller leads to a jaw – dropping climax. In this taut, suspense and nerve shredding tension that bring with general excitement and this is so unpredictable like you don’t know what going to happen, the casting is spot on in this well told story.


After his father is killed in a car accident, things unravel for Kale Brecht and he is placed under house – arrest for punching his Spanish teacher, he begins spying on the neighbours and he convinced himself his neighbours is a serial killer. This is like a new generation of Rear Window and airs with the mystery and it also got the thriller element of it.


When Keller Dover’s daughter and her friend go missing, he takes matters into his own hands as the police pursue multiple leads and the pressure mounts. This is exceptional from start to finish and it certainly gripped you from start to finish, in this character study type of film and the ending of this film it will linger long in your memory.

5.Road To Perdition

A mob enforcer’s son witnesses a murder, forcing him and his father to take to the road, and his father down a path of redemption and revenge. An all star cast with a period setting and the cast is spot on in this thoughtful film that will bring generally tension and an unpredictable plot, the storytelling is masterly told and that bring a darker tone to this film.

4.Public Enemies

The Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a booming crime wave in the 1930s. A truly epic that based in probation America that bring the real excitement of the thriller genre, the casting is perfect and it slowly building up of the real life account of this film and it is flawless in this well-made film.

3.The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Journalist Mikael Blomkvist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years by Lisbeth Salander, a young computer hacker. In this well paced film with a hint of a murder mystery and mixed in with the thriller aspect, a superbly crafted story that bring a great cast together and although it can be a little tough to watch but I call it very artsy and not shy away in a emotionally charge film.

2.Knives Out

When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. I know this might be controversial but I put this film second because it would divided people, but I personally loved it as it is so different with these colourful characters and that bring with comic timing and the acting is impeccable and spot on. The story of the film is a really good one and really in dept as well.

1.Eagle Eye

Jerry and Rachel are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have net met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. I picked this film as my number one because it blended thriller with a hint of a mystery and the characters in the film are likeable, the casting is superb in this thoughtful and invented with a thrilling climax at the end.
