Article: Top 10 DreamWorks Animated Films

10.Antz

A rather neurotic ant tries to break from his totalitarian society while trying to win the affection of the princess he loves. It might be rather dated as it out in 1998 but you can’t fault this adventure yarn as it is endearing and funny with an all-star vocal cast with the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone, the characters is likeable in an intelligent and witty film that is a pure classic.

9.Over The Hedge

A scheming raccoon fools a mismatched family of forest creatures into helping him repay a debt of food, by invading the new suburban sprawl that popped up while they were hibernating and learn a lesson about family himself. Bruce Willis don’t normally do animation film but this one is suitable and he really good as the main lead, some people will like this and some don’t but this is inoffensive, cute and heart-warming film, if you give it a chance.

8.Bee Movie

Barry B Benson graduates from college and is now working at Honex. And then, when he flies outside the hives, he meets a human florist from New York City named Vanessa Bloome. Continuing his legendary adventure of awesomeness, Po must face two hugely epic, but different threat and go on many adventures. Jack Black, Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu provides the voices in this truly epic funny tale of brave and courage, it certainly action packed but it blended in well with this simple story in a likeable film.

6.Shrek (2001 – 2010)

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek who have to save princess Fiona from a tower, then he meet Donkey who have to be his sidekick and then he met Puss in Boots and he go on many adventures with them. Normally with Fairy-tale type of films they are slightly darker, not this one as it got cliché of other films with funny one liner and with star – studded voice cast in this feel-good type of vibe film.

5.Flushed Away

The story of an uptown rat that gets flushed down the toilet from his penthouse apartment, ending in the sewers of London, where he has to learn a whole new and different way of life. Someone between Aardman and DreamWorks studio made this a hilarious but heartfelt film that is suitable for a wider audience, it might be silly with singing slugs and if you get past them there is action packed galore in a wonderful story and it’s an all-British film, which is a bonus.

4.Monsters Vs Aliens

A woman transformed into a giant after she is struck by a meteorite on her wedding day becomes part of a team of monsters sent in by the U.S. government to defeat an alien mastermind trying to take over Earth. Well this is like a B Movie with creatures everywhere in this sincere film that is about of being different, it is entertaining but often very funny tale of proving people wrong and just enjoy this film as it is enjoyable and exciting.

3.Mr Peabody & Sherman

The time travelling adventures of an advanced canine and his adopted son, as they endeavour to fix a time rift they created. Everybody like time travelling type of film with a hint of science fiction and this is so underrated, I love the way it has got certain historical greatest moments that bring us something different and fresh. It is a well – made film.

2.Megamind

Evil genius Megamind finally defeats his do – gooder nemesis, Metro Man, but is left without a purpose in a superhero – free world. Definitely much better than the Madagascar films as this one is really different and I love the spin, which is really clever, it focused on the villain perspective which is new and fresh and in some ways it like a satire with funny one liner. Which is needed for this film and it is different but in a good way.

1.Shark Tale

When a son of a gangster shark boss is accidentally killed while on the hunt, his would – be prey and his vegetarian brother decide to use the incident to their own advantage. The reason why I picked this film first it has an important message of don’t let fame getting to your head and being famous, it about yourself and as an individual don’t lose your mate in the process as you might needed them which I personally connect to. It is well casted in a story that is suitable for all ages.
