10.Titanic

A seventeen-year-old aristocrat fall in love with a kind but poor artist aboard the luxurious, ill – fated R.M.S. Titanic. It might be lengthy but the pacing is just right and it is a character study and it just work really well, the song itself My Heart Will Go On that make this so powerful and really moving. It is one of the best James Cameron film and the acting especially Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet are excellent, the supporting cast is superb in this lavish production of true story of the famous ship of Titanic.

9.The Lion King

Lion prince Simba and his father are targeted by his bitter uncle, who wants to ascend the throne himself. With a fantastic soundtrack and with eccentric but funny character that certainly made this heartfelt, emotional and uplifting as well, the vocal talent is amazing and especially Rowan Atkinson as he is absolutely hilarious. Don’t bother with the live – action version as this one is far more superior and a pick me up type of film.

8.My Sister’s Keeper

Anna Fitzgerald looks to earn medical emancipation from her parents who until now have relied on their youngest child to help their leukaemia – stricken daughter Kate remain alive. Normally with these types of film it will be less compelling but this one is brilliant and it is so real and people will connect to this film, Cameron Diaz normally a comedy actress but with this one she is so good, the child actor and everyone is amazing, in this sincere film.

7.Gran Torino

Disgruntled Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski sets out to reform his neighbour, Thao Lor, a Hmong teenager who tried to steal Kowalski’s prized possession, a 1972 Gran Torino. People might think this is not a tearjerker film at all but it has got a poignancy ending and it is so memorable, it is one of those diverse type of film and it might be hard hitting for some people but this film certainly wowed you from start to finish.

6.The Bucket List

Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to – dos before they die. Stunning scenery with two heavyweight stars with the likes of Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, their chemistry just work really well and it is a mixture of both that just made this film so special. It might be slightly predictable for some people but this is extremely funny and heartfelt in a superbly made film.

5.The Impossible

The story of a tourist family in Thailand caught in the destruction and chaotic aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. One of the most sincere, moving, uplifting film that is also a sad film. I like the way the film blended all of these elements in a thought provoking and emotional film that doesn’t feel forced, it also based on a true story and at least the filmmaker actually thought about the casting. The family got really good chemistry and the message is never giving up and have hope and keep on looking, in a good looking and majestic film.

4.The Danish Girl

A fictitious love story loosely inspired by the lives of Danish artists Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Lili and Gerda’s marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili’s ground-breaking journey as a transgender pioneer. For me personally it is one of the best Alicia Vikander film and alongside with Eddie Redmayne as he is very consistent, their chemistry work really well and that is the key to this film and even the supporting cast is excellent. The ending is poignancy and moving at the same time and it is a really important film and appearances isn’t everything.

3.A Monster Calls

Twelve-year-old Conor O’Malley must face his mother’s terminal cancer, his strict grandmother, his estranged father and the school bully, Harry. One night at 12.07 a.m., Conor is visited by the tree – like monster, who tell Conor it has to come to tell him three true stories. A very touching but it can be heart-breaking in a majestic but watchable film, the acting is spot on in a different take on a terminal illness film and it just work and the visual is amazing.

2.Big Hero 6

A special bond develops between plus – sized inflatable robot Baymax and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who together team up with a group of friends to form a band of high – teach heroes. Big Hero 6 is magnificent, moving, watchable and generally feel good that it deal with death in a way that is so subtle, if you got a brother this film will reminded you of him as it deal with a family aspect as it is so heartfelt and finding yourself in a world, and also choosing your path and just chasing your dream and be that person that everyone will accepted you as you are.

1.Up

78-year-old Carl Fredricksen travels to Paradise Falls in his house equipped with balloons, inadvertently taking a young stowaway. The reason why I picked this as my number one it has a multi layered story from the start, the other reason is, it is suitable for all ages and it is definitely a family viewing type of film. I personally connect with this film as it basically about looking back on your memories and make some new one in the process, it is one of those film that is a cult classic and it still entertained people in a heartfelt and poignancy film.
