A young maiden in a land called Andalasia, who is prepared to be wed, is sent away to New York City by an evil Queen, where she falls in love with a lawyer. Some people will like this and some don’t but this film is fun and light, the musical element work really well with catchy tunes and all the characters is likeable, so overall this is entertaining and very charming in this likeable film.

9.Racing Stripes

An abandoned zebra grows up believing he is a racehorse, and, with the help of his barnyard friends and a teenage girl, sets out to achieve his dream of racing with thoroughbreds. This will divided people as well but this is a film about chasing your dream, it also suitable for a family viewing.

8.King Kong

Set in the 1930s, this is the story of a group of explorers and documentary filmmakers who travel to the mysterious Skull Island to investigate legends of a giant gorilla named Kong. Underneath the action and the CGI/SFX there is a gothic period piece style of story, it certainly spectacular and the story is brilliant as it is truly epic, it will thrilled you and it is a watchable film.

7.Jurassic World (2015 – 2018)

Several years after the demise of Jurassic World, a volcanic eruption threatens the remaining dinosaurs on the island of Isla Nublar. Visual it is truly remarkable in this exciting with nonstop action, it is well – casted and it has got stunning scenery and overall it is a thrill ride type of film.

 6.Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014 – 2017)

In 2014, Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Baby Groot are renowned as the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Guardians struggle to keep together as a team while dealing with their personal family issues. With being a superheroes film this is quirky and funny with an all – star cast that bring you comic timing, their chemistry work really well and the film itself is certainly fast and furious.


A paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a ubique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home. You will go on a journey through another world as it is breath-taking, the pacing is just right and it doesn’t stop any momentum. James Cameron know what he doing and he made this film truly spectacular that will wowed you.

4.Men In Black (1997 – 2012)

A police officer joins a secret organization that polices and monitors extra-terrestrials interactions on Earth and they go on numerous missions. For me personally the chemistry between Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith is excellent and the creatures effect is outstanding, it certainly balance the comedy aspect with the darker element that work perfect, it will entertained you.

3.The Mask

Bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss comes into possession of a mysterious mask which transforms him into his inner personality. It certainly zany and colourful with wonderful performance from Jim Carrey and the visual will certainly wowed you, it is one of those film that is so underrated and this is watchable from start to finish, it will thrilled you in this gem of a film that is so good.

2.Beauty & The Beast

A selfish prince is cursed to become a monster for the rest of his life, unless he learns to fall in love with a beautiful young woman he keep prisoner. Gorgeous looking film that is majestic and wonderful to look at, the musical set piece is astonishing and with memorable songs which is poignancy and it will moved you, it also got an all star cast in this pure escapism film which you needed.


An afterlife therapist and his daughter meet a friendly young ghost when they move into a crumbling mansion in order to rid the premises of wicked spirits. I actually growing up watching this film and this is so memorable, it also suitable for all ages and a family viewing which is not too scary for the younger generation, it is definitely eye catching in this well-made film.

  1. Some good ones there Mark. Any list of live action films for me would have to include Jason and the Argonauts and any of the films in which Ray Harryhausen did the stop motion effects.
