10.Lemony Snicket’s: A Series Of Unfortunate Events
When a massive fire kills their parents, three children are delivered to the custody of cousin and stage actor Count Olaf, who is secretly plotting to steal their parents vast fortune. Fantastic looking film which is generally funny, Jim Carrey is totally unrecognizable and the kids in this film are superb and really convincing, it has got an all-star cast and this is well – made, it might be slightly dark for the younger generation but this is definitely a family viewing type of film.
9.Road To Perdition
A mob enforcer’s son in 1930s Illinois witnesses a murder, forcing him and his father to take to the road, and his father down a path of redemption and revenge. I only see this film only once but this is totally memorable, this is engrossing and it has got a brilliant story, the casting is spot on and this is gorgeous looking film, overall this watchable and it drawn you in from the start.
8.The Day After Tomorrow
Jack Hall, climatologist, must make a daring trek from Washington, DC. To New York City to reach his son, trapped in the cross – hairs of a sudden international storm which plunges the planet into a new Ice Age. Definitely one of the best disasters film as this is thrilling and exciting, the visual is superb and the story is there, it doesn’t feel rushed and it is certainly a well – made film with a likeable lead.
7.The Holiday
Two women troubled with guy problems swap homes in each other’s countries, where they each meet a local guy and fall in love. Being a romantic film this might be too predictable for some people but this is a feel-good film, it is sweet and light-hearted and this is just a really nice film and overall it will pull a smile to people faces, it is well – casted and this will be perfect for a date movie.
6.Superman Returns
Superman Returns to Earth after spending five years in space examining his home world Krypton. But he finds things have changed while he was gone, and he must once again prove himself important to the world. Character driven type of film and this got the wowed factor and the villain is perfectly sinister, the set pieces is stunning and the scenery look amazing and the pacing is just right, this is entertaining from start to finish in this superbly made film.
5.School Of Rock
After being kicked out of his rock band, Dewey Finn becomes a substitute teacher at an uptight elementary private school, only to try and turn his class into a rock band. Joyous and uplifting film that is likeable, it has got an underdog type of film and this also a feel-good type of film and it definitely watchable, it also got a likeable lead and this is just a really nice film.
4.I, Robot
In 2035, a technophobic cop investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot, which leads to a larger threat to humanity. An action film that made you think and it is thought provoking in this exciting film, the visual is outstanding and it is one of those film that drawn you in, it never get too overcomplicated and the story is utterly compelling and it is unpredictable.
3.The Dark Knight
When the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice. Everything about this film certainly ticked all the boxes as this got a memorable villain, the pacing is just right and it is truly epic, it is a thrill ride type of film as this is action packed but it is character driven, it got that psychological aspect and that work perfectly and this is enjoyable.
2.The Bucket List
Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to – dos before they die. Honest, real, and relatable film as it about an unlikely friendship and people will connect to that aspect, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman got good chemistry together and it can be really funny, it have got stunning scenery and this is not too sentimental as it doesn’t feel forced. The good thing about this film it doesn’t feel rushed and it is a beautiful film.
1.Ratatouille
Remy a rat who can cook makes an unusual alliance with a young kitchen worker at a famous Paris restaurant. Gorgeous looking film which touch people heart as this is a sincere and pure escapism type of film, the vocal in this film are superb and brim with comic one liner and this is suitable for all ages, it is one of the best Pixar film as it is heartfelt and it have got a brilliant story and it is a really cute film.
