10.The Last Letter From Your Lover

A pair of interwoven stories set in the past and present follow an ambitious journalist determined to solve the mystery of a forbidden love affair at the center of a trove of secret love letter from 1965. Personally I really like the story to this film and the intentions are there, but unfortunately the flashback element gets too overcomplicated and the characters are hard to like, once you watched this you won’t remember it as it is not memorable enough.

9.Four Good Days

Bruised, abused, and on the verge of collapse, heroin – addled Molly shows up at the house of her heartbroken, long – suffering mother, Deb, seeking help. But ten painful years of estrangement, drug use, and addiction have taken a toll on the already fragile mother and daughter relationship. Normally with this type of film it would be moving and it has got a great cast, it feels rather forced and it is too sentimental despite I wanted to like this film, it is such a shame as this got potential.

8.Flag Day

A father lives a double life as a counterfeiter, bank robber and con man in order to provide for his daughter. It is one of those film that has got some nice moment in this film and Dylan Penn is really convincing in her role, the chemistry is really good between the two lead and it’s the film in general that doesn’t really gel together and it doesn’t flow, the story is there and it doesn’t quite deliver as much as it should be.

7.The Amazing Maurice

The Story follows Maurice, a goofy streetwise cat, who has the perfect money-making scam. He finds a dumb looking kid who plays a pipe and has his very own horde of rats, who are strangely literate. Gorgeous looking animation film with an all-star cast that provided the vocal in this film, this is simply unfunny as this take itself too seriously and it lacking the charm, it also can’t decided which audience it aimed at as this can be too dark for the younger generation, it is a real shame.

6.The Outfit

An expect cutter named Leonard must outwit a dangerous group of mobsters in order to survive a fateful night. Firstly, I really admire this film that try to be something different and Mark Rylance is convincing in his role, the film itself is more of a stage show than a proper film and it also hard to get into with this film, the chemistry between Mark Rylance and Zoey Deutch is certainly spot on and the rest of the casting is rather bland, this could have been a brilliant film but it just doesn’t deliver.

5.Last Night In Soho

An aspiring fashion designer is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s, where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer. But the glamour is not all it appears to be and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something darker. Edgar Wright has director really good films in the past plus I love the twist in this film. Thomasina McKenzie is always consistent in her role and for me personally it lacking the psychological element, it getting too weird and surreal and you wanted to like this film a bit more, but this definitely the weakest horror film due to these flaws.

4.The Last Bus

After the death of his wife, an aging man travels across the UK by bus to fulfill his pledge to spread her ashes near their first home. Personally I really like the story to this film and I can’t fault the acting as Timothy Spall is really good, it could have been a moving film but it doesn’t moved you as it feel forced, it is too predictable and it feels too safe as this is a disappointing film, it is one of those film that doesn’t wowed you as it not that relatable as it should be.

3.Riverdance: The Animated Adventure

An Irish boy named Keegan and a Spanish girl named Moya journey into the mythical world of the Megaloceros Giganteus who teach them to appreciate Riverdance as a celebration of life. The start of this film is promising and I love the idea of this film, it falters in the midsection and it never recover despite you wanted to like this film, it got potential as the characters are great but it loses the momentum and it stop, it doesn’t really deliver as it should be.

2.Cowboys (2020)

A troubled but well – intentioned father who has recently separated from his wife runs off with his trans son into the Montana wilderness after his ex – wife’s refusal to let their son live as his authentic self. I really wanted to like this film and it is a well-made film but for me personally it lacking that emotional aspect, it just doesn’t gel together and it doesn’t flow, the characters are not likeable enough and that is the reason why this film is a major disappointing.

1.Land (2021)

Edee, in the aftermath of an unfathomable event, finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she once knew and in the face of that uncertainty, retreats to the magnificent, but unforgiving, wilds of the Rockies. My type of film and I thought I going to love this film but ended up I was so disappointed, it was bleak and depressing and it supposed to be uplifting and life affirming, it hard to connect with these characters despite the scenery look amazing and for me personally it is a massive letdown.
