5.The King’s Speech

The story of King George VI, his unexpected ascension to the throne of the British Empire in 1936, and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch overcome his stammer. For me personally the chemistry between Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush is superb, this is an underdog type of film and by the end of this film you will enjoy it, the story is perfect and the pacing is perfect as it holds your interest, this is well casted and overall, this is a crowd pleaser film.

4.Storm Boy

When Michael Kingley, a successful retired businessman starts to see images from his past that he can’t explain, he’s forced to remember his childhood and how, as a boy, he rescued and raised an extraordinary orphaned pelican, Mr Percival. A cute and heartwarming film that will capture people heart, it has got nice moment in this film and it about growing up and adolescence and people will connect with that aspect, it never gets too overcomplicated with the flashback element and that is the key to this film, this is a beautiful film that deserve a chance.

3.Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl

Blacksmith Will Turner teams up with eccentric pirate “Captain” Jack Sparrow to save his love, the governor’s daughter, from Jack former pirate allies, who are now undead. Perfectly paced film with amazing CGI/SFX and this is a gorgeous looking film, it got spectacular set pieces and this is entertaining from start to finish, the villain is certainly memorable and Geoffrey Rush is perfectly sinister, this is eye catching and the characters are great and this is a brilliant action film.

2.The Book Thief (2013)

While subjected to the horrors of World War II Germany, young Liesel finds solace by stealing books and sharing them with others. In the basement of her home, a Jewish refugee is being protected by her adoptive parents. Quietly this is a powerful film with a superb ending and the main lead is likeable, the acting is amazing and this can move you, it has got fantastic scenery and this is intriguing from the start, it is heartbreaking as it never feels forced and this is a good film.

1.Finding Nemo

After his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home. Pure escapism type of film which is suitable for a rainy day, the characters are great and this is charming, fun, and generally funny. The vocal in this film is amazing especially Geoffrey Rush as Nigel the pelican, this is suitable for all ages and a family viewing.

  1. Yes, I liked him in The King’s Speech and Pirates of the Caribbean as well. He’s good in historical dramas. Here’s another three to look out for if you have not seen them already.
