Article: Top 5 Eddie Murphy Films

5.The Nutty Professor

Grossly overweight yet good – hearted professor Sherman Klump takes a special chemical that turns him into the slim but obnoxious Buddy Love. Not usually my type of film but this can be rather funny in certain places, I grow up watching this film in my younger year, it is one of those film it not as subtle but the main lead is likeable. The story is there and this is well casted and this is well made.

4.Candy Cane Lane

A man is determined to win the neighbourhood’s annual Christmas decorating contest. He makes a pact with an elf to help him win and the elf casts a spell that brings the 12 days of Christmas to life, which brings unexpected chaos to town. Perfectly paced film that certainly hold your interest, the final third might feel a little bit hyperactive and isn’t quite laugh out loud funny, I also admire this film that try to be something different, this is a superbly made film.

3.Doctor Dolittle (1998 – 2001)

Since we last saw him Doctor Dolittle has earned fame and recognition both among two and four legged creatures for his ability to talk to animals. Might not be for everyone but this is suitable for a family viewing type of film, this is funny and heartwarming at the same time with cute animals. Both films are consistent and they silently made you smile, this is inoffensive and a cute film that is laugh out loud funny, if you wanted a light-hearted film this is ideal for you.

 2.The Haunted Mansion

A realtor and his wife and children are summoned to a mansion, which they soon discover is haunted, and while they attempt to escape, he learns an important lesson about the family he has neglected. Once when I watched this film, I always remember this, the CGI/SFX is amazing and eye catching that drawn you in, it balances the darker moment with the comedy aspect and for me personally it works, this is fun and entertaining which you needed in this film.

1.Shrek (2001 – 2010)

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek whose precious solitude is suddenly shattered by an invasion of annoying fairy tale characters, along the way Shrek meet numerous of colourful characters. Quietly this is a massive hit for me personally and the characters are great, the four films are consistent and the vocal in these films are spot on and easy to follow, it also about appearances and that is important, this is suitable for all ages.
