The Water Horse: Legend Of The Deep

A boy finds an interesting eggs. His curiosity leads him to protect it and want to figure out what will come out of it. He didn’t realize that it would turn into something magic. Firstly, the story and the idea behind this film is superb, but unfortunately it can’t decide which age range it aimed at, I just feel in general this is rather bleak and depressing plus this doesn’t feel uplifting, it not quite a feel-good experience which you needed in this type of film, it got potential but it doesn’t quite deliver and that is a real shame.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

A plumber named Mario travels through an underground labyrinth with his brother Luigi, trying to save a captured princess. Some people will like this and some don’t as this will divide people, the balance of the darker elements with the lighter aspect is just right, this is suitable for the younger generation as this is suitable for all ages, it got an all star vocal cast and they are all rather good, it not as funny as it supposes to be and it can feel a little bit hyperactive, despite that this is watchable and easy to follow, this is certainly a well-made animation film.

A Winkle In Time

After the disappearance of her scientist father, three peculiar beings send Meg, her brother, and her friend to space in order to find him. One of those film that is eye catching from start to finish, this is well casted and I admire this film of being different, personally it can feel rather overcomplicated and it falter in the midsection, despite that the main lead is likeable and it has got the human element to this film, this isn’t a bad film as the story is spot on and this is good.

Rescued By Ruby

Chasing his dream to join an elite K – 9 unit, a state trooper partners with a fellow underdog: clever but naughty shelter pup Ruby. Personally, this film surprised me as this is cute and heartwarming film, it might be too predictable, or too sentimental and feel rather forced for some people, the main lead is likeable and quietly pay respect to those people who inspired this film, the film in general doesn’t gel or flow together as much, despite that this is well made.

Spider – Man: Across The Spider – Verse

Miles Morales catapults across the multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider – People charged with protecting its very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero. Diversity type of film which is important and the pacing is perfect, this is entertaining and it got amazing set pieces plus this is memorable, the characters are great and it got that emotional aspect, this is one of the best movies sequels.

Bank Of Dave

Based on the true-life experiences of Dave Fishwick, “Bank of Dave” tells the story of how a working-class Burnley man and self-made millionaire fought to set up a community bank. Everything about this film ticked all the boxes as this is a feel-good experience, it will made you smile from start to finish as this is easy to watch, it got an unlikely friendship type of moral and people will connect with that aspect, it will leave you a lasting impression on you as this is brilliant.

This reminded me that I haven’t seen Bank of Dave. Rory Kinnear is a great actor.
I can recommend The Holdovers of films that I have seen recently. Predictable story, but great acting.
