Dumbo

A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer. This has got an all star cast and the film itself is gorgeous to look at, I just feel in general Tim Burton is out of his element as it not his usual type of film, I don’t want to be too harsh on this film as the story is spot on, it got great potential but it doesn’t quite deliver.

I’m Your Man (2021)

In order to obtain research funds for her studies, a scientist accepts an offer to participate in an extraordinary experiment: for three weeks, she is to live with a humanoid robot, created to make her happy. I admire this film that try to be something different, the chemistry between the two stars is superb and the acting is convincing, the start and the ending is generally good but it’s the midsection falters just a little bit, it might lack a bit of charm but it still watchable.

The Prince Of Egypt

Egyptian Prince Moses learns of his identity as a Hebrew and his destiny to become the chosen deliverer of his people. Gorgeous looking animation film with stunning scenery, the story is simple and this is a diversity type of film which is important. It might not be suitable for the younger generation but this feel totally epic, it doesn’t quite flow or gel together as much as it doesn’t offer you anything new or fresh, despite that it does draw you in and this is intriguing.

The Idea Of You

Solene, a 40-year-old single mom, begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. Personally, I like the message of the price of fame and that is refreshing, this is well casted and this is easy to follow, in some ways this doesn’t gel or flow together as much, it also doesn’t offer you anything new and fresh as it needed it with this type of genre, it still a watchable film.

Ferrari (2023)

Set in the summer of 1957, with Enzo Ferrari’s auto empire in crisis, the ex – racer turned entrepreneur pushes himself and his drivers to the edge as they launch into the Millie Miglia, a treacherous 1,000 – mile race across Italy. Quietly this film will move you as this is generally powerful, the acting is amazing and totally believable, it has got a bit of problem with the pacing aspect especially the first half, despite that it has got stunning scenery as this is good.

Now You See Me

An FBI agent and an Interpol detective track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money. With twist and turns throughout this film as this is unpredictable, the casting is perfect and this is clever and thought provoking at the same time, it is entertaining from start to finish as it slowly draws you in, in general this film is memorable and overall, this film will surprise many people.
