10.Fantastic Mr. Fox

An urbane fox cannot resist returning to his farm raiding ways and then must help his community survive the farmers’ retaliation. One of those film that will divide people as some will like this and some don’t, for me personally it’s the story that is the key to this film. It got an all star cast as the vocal is spot on, overall, this is well made and eye catching as well, I see why people like this.

9.Isle Of Dogs

On the island, a young boy named Atari sets out to find his lost dog, Spots, with the help of five other dogs with many obstacles along the way. I admire this film that try to be something different, the story and the idea behind this film is brilliant, in some ways this film is certainly memorable from start to finish, if you wanted something different this is ideal for you.

8.Apollo 10 ½: A Space Age Adventure

A coming-of-age story set in the suburbs of Houston, Texas in the summer of 1969, centred around the historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Personally, it not normally my type of film, I was surprised with this film as this is rather good. It is a slow burner type of film and it certainly draws you in, it is one of those film that will surprise many people, this is superbly made and this is eye catching.

7.Spirited Away

During her family’s move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts. The pacing to this film is spot on and it does hold your interest, once you watch this you will always remember this film, it is easy to follow as this is watchable, this film will move you and it is certainly memorable.

6.Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio

A father’s wish magically brings a wooden boy to life in Italy, giving him a chance to care for the child. Gorgeous looking animation film with stunning scenery, you will care about with these characters, the story is beautiful as this is silently powerful. It might be weird and surreal but it needed that in this film, it is wonderful and beautiful animation film that will touch your heart.

5.Away (2019)

A boy is stranded on a strange island with nothing but a motorcycle and an injured bird. As he tries to journey back home, a shadowy force threatens to stop him. Visually outstanding and it has got stunning scenery, it might be rather weird and surreal but it needed that in this film, it might be short at a running time of 75 minutes, once you watch this you will always remember this.

4.The Breadwinner

In 2001, Afghanistan is under the control of the Taliban. When her father is captured, a determined young girl disguises herself as a boy in order to provide for her family. A heartfelt animation film that will touch people heart, it might be hard to watch for some people, this film gets me into other foreign animation films, it will move you as it got that emotional aspect.

3.Wendell & Wild

Two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot to summon them to the Land of the Living. Feminism and a diversity type of film which is important, it has got a multilayered story as this is a coming-of-age film, for me personally this is so underrated, this is silently powerful and this is a beautiful film that will move you.

2.Rango

Rango is an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff. Message of the film is self-image and I personally connect with this film, it got an all-star vocal cast and they are brilliant, it can be funny and often hilarious, it has got fantastic characters and the film itself is heartwarming.

1.9 (2009)

When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post – apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. When I first watch this film I thought wowed, it will leave you a lasting impression on you, it will made you think as this is thought provoking, it has got a multilayered story and it will surprise people.
