10.The Water Man (IMDB 5.6/10)

A boy sets out on a quest to save his ill mother by searching for a mythic figure said to have magical healing powers. Despite this film not as character driven. I wanted to know more about the character Jo Riley, if you get past that this is a beautiful adventure film, it is well casted and they all convince in their roles, the story is wonderful as this adventure film will move you.

9.Love At First Sight (IMDB 6.8/10)

Two strangers connect on a flight to London, only to be separated by a twist of fate. A reunion seems improbable, but love has a way of defying the odds. Being a Rom – Com this film will divide people, it is an inoffensive film as this is cute and heartwarming. The main two lead has got great chemistry together, it will capture people heart and it will made you smile, it is a well – made film.

8.Carry – On (IMDB 6.5/10)

A mysterious traveller blackmails a young TSA agent into letting a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Eve flight. Could be rather predictable and overstuffed with many ideas. This is action packed but it never loses the story itself, the villain is certainly memorable and generally sinister, it is entertaining from start to finish, this is one of the best action films.

7.The Pale Blue Eye (IMDB 6.6/10)

Veteran detective Augustus Landor investigates a series of grisly murders with the help of a young cadet who will eventually go on to become the world – famous author Edgar Allan Poe. A film with twist and turns as this is unpredictable. It could be slightly brutal for some people, if you get past that the ending is superb, it will draw you in from the start, this is a superbly made film.

6.Munich: The Edge Of War (IMDB 6.8/10)

A British diplomat travels to Munich in the run – up to World War II, where a former classmate of his from Oxford is also en route, but is working for the German government. Even if you being patience with this film you will be rewarded, the pacing is perfect and it will hold your interest. It is another film that will draws you in, it is totally unpredictable, this is surprisingly good.

5. The Six Triple Eight (IMDB 6.7/10)

During World War II, 855 women joined the fight to fix the three – year backing of undelivered mail. Face with discrimination and a country devastated by war, they managed to sort more than 17 million pieces of mail ahead of time. Feminism type of film which is important, it also deals with the diversity element and that is an important subject, I didn’t know this film based on a true story and it pay respect to those people behind this film, this is silently powerful.

4.Dumplin’ (IMDB 6.5/10)

Willowdean, an overweight teenager of a yesteryear beauty queen, decides to participate in her mother’s Miss Teen Bluebonnet pageant to prove a point. It’s the personal journey aspect that made this film relatable, this is an underdog type of film as this is joyous and uplifting, the acting is amazing and totally believable, in general this film is heartfelt and it will touch people heart.

3.The Half Of It (IMDB 6.9/10)

When smart but cash – strapped teen Ellie Chu agrees to write a love letter for a jock, she doesn’t expect to become his friend – or fall for his crush. Having watched this film on Netflix I thought wowed, it is a beautiful LGBTQ film and you will care about with these characters, it can be funny in places and it is heartfelt, once you watch this film you will always remember this.

2. Wendell & Wild (IMDB 6.4/10)

Two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot to summon them to the Land of the Living. Gorgeous looking animation film and it has got a multilayered story, it could be rather full on for the younger generation, it has got a message of family which is important for people, if you wanted a character driven animation film this is ideal.

1.I Kill Giants (IMDB 6.1/10)

Twelve-year-old Barbara Thorson struggles through life by escaping into a fantasy life of magic and monsters. Just breathtaking as this film is certainly memorable. I just connect with this film because of the theme itself, it is a terminal illness film with a mixture of the fantasy elements, for me personally it certainly works. You will care about with these characters, it will leave you a lasting impression on you.
