A Widow’s Game

A murder mystery about a young widow who is the prime suspect in her husband’s stabbing death. The idea and the story behind this film is superb. For me personally the pacing is spot on, to be fair with the acting they try their best in their roles. Unfortunately, it feels like a TV made film; it also falters but it never recovers in time. I wanted to like this film but I couldn’t get into it, with these flaws it doesn’t exactly work for me personally.

Sacramento

An energetic and free-spirited young man convinces his long-time friend, who’s settled into domestic life, to go on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento. One of those film which has got a fantastic story. In general this film is easy to follow, the thing is with this film it hard to care about with these characters. Overall, this isn’t relatable as it missing the emotional aspect, with this type of genre it needed that. It has got some potential and that is a real shame.

Heads Of State

When the U.K. Prime Minister and U.S. President become the targets of a foreign adversary, they’re forced to rely on one another to thwart a global conspiracy. At least this action film doesn’t take itself too seriously. The chemistry between John Cena and Idris Elba is superb, it has got amazing set pieces as this is entertaining from start to finish, the villain isn’t as memorable and some of the violence can be brutal, it might not be perfect but it still good.

We Live In Time

After an unusual encounter, a talented chef and a recent divorcee fall in love and build the home and family they’re always dreamed of, until a painful truth puts their love story to the test. Beautiful film that will touch people heart. It will move you from start to finish, the chemistry between the two main lead is superb, it can get too overcomplicated with too many flashbacks and it hard to keep up with this film, despite that this is memorable.

The Wild Thornberrys Movie

After losing a cheetah cub to ruthless poaches, Eliza must redeem her folly and go on a quest to save him. Surprisingly this film surprise me as this is seriously good. The scenery is outstanding and eye catching, it is heartwarming and it deals with personal journey which I personally connect with. The only thing with this film it doesn’t gel or flow together as much, this is a hand drawn animation film and it will move you, this is suitable for all ages.

Monsters (2010)

Six years after Earth has suffered an alien invasion, a cynical journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through an infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the U.S. border. It might be brutal but it never goes too over the top. That is the key to this film as this is totally unpredictable, this isn’t your average monster film and that is refreshing, it nearly a five stars film but the ending is rather weak, this is a slow burner as this is memorable.

I’ll watch out for Monsters. Sounds interesting.
