Article: Top 10 Worst Superhero Films

10.Watchmen

In a version of 1985 where superheroes exist, the murder of a colleague sends active vigilante Rorschach on the trail of a conspiracy that will change the course of history. I personally like the period of this film as it set in 1985. The story is fantastic and the idea is there, those are the positive in this film. It has got a pacing problem, it doesn’t always hold your interest and I just feel in general the ending is slightly weak, it has got potential but it didn’t quite deliver.

9.Justice League

Steppenwolf and his Parademons return after eons to capture Earth. However, Batman seeks the help of Wonder Woman to recruit and assemble Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman to fight the powerful new enemy. Eye catching film with outstanding set pieces. It like a thrill ride type of film, that is the only positive in this film, this film seems rushed and it feel like we didn’t get to know the characters. The villain isn’t as memorable, it is another film which didn’t quite deliver.

8.Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Billionaire Bruce Wayne believes that Superman is a threat to humanity as his power goes unchecked. Wayne decides to protect the world against him in the guise of his superhero avatar, Batman. Behind this film the idea is there. The story is good as this silently draws you in, the pacing is spot on, the chemistry between Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill isn’t there, I just feel in general Jesse Eisenberg is miscast at Lex Luthor, with the positive and the flaws it didn’t quite work for me personally.

7.Man Of Steel

An alien child is evacuated from his dying world and sent to Earth to live among humans. His peace is threatened when other survivors of his home planet invade Earth. Another film with great set pieces. The CGI/SFX is truly outstanding and realistic, the story is there as it is well made, but unfortunately it lacks the emotional aspect. It doesn’t offer you anything new or fresh. It also takes itself too seriously, it is such a shame as I wanted to like this a bit more.

6.The Flash

Barry Allen uses his super speed to change the past, but his attempt to save his family creates a world without superheroes, forcing him to race for his life in order to save the future. Cool visual for this film as this is eye catching, the laughs seem forced, but unfortunately the chemistry between the two stars isn’t there, this film isn’t quite there as it doesn’t work.

5.The Batman

When a sadistic serial killer begins murdering key political figures in Gotham, the Batman is forced to investigate the city’s hidden corruption and question his family’s involvement. Firstly, I really wanted to like this film. I also like the idea of the teenage Batman perspective, the soundtrack is cool, the one thing with this film it hasn’t got that psychological aspect. For me personally the main lead is slightly bland, there is too many Batman films and you can tell.

4.Suicide Squad

A secret government agency recruits some of the most dangerous incarcerated super – villains to form a defensive task force. Their first mission: save the world from the apocalypse. Having watched this film this is pretty good. It has got an all – star cast, but unfortunately I just feel Jared Leto is miscast as the Joker, the violence can overshadow the film itself. The film even killed off one of the most interesting characters and it is Diablo, overall, this is disappointing.

3.Eternals

The saga of the Eternals, a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations Gorgeous looking film. This delves into the mythological aspect, it has got an all star cast and they all convince in their roles, despite that there are too many characters, we never get to know them individuals. Also the director is out of her elements as she normally does drama films. It could have been something special but with these flaws. it didn’t work.

2.Deadpool 2

Foul – mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool) assembles a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy with abilities from the brutal, time – traveling cyborg Cable. Deadpool 2 has got great characters and brims with comic one liners. The casting is perfect and they all convince in their roles, the film itself can be brutal and it can be hard to watch, the laughs seem forced, just about the first film is slightly better than this second one.

1.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtles set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Just breathtaking as the animation itself is gorgeous to look at. The characters are certainly memorable, those are the only positive in this film, this is too hyperactive and it never calm down. It also lacks the emotional elements; it takes itself too seriously, I couldn’t get into with this film due to these flaws.
