The Choral Movie Review

A choral society’s male members enlist in World War I, leaving the demanding Dr Guthrie to recruit teenagers and experience the joy of singing. One of those film that will draw you in from start to finish. It is well casted and they all convince in their roles; the story is superb and easy to follow. The pacing is perfect as it does hold your interest, it has got stunning scenery as these are the positives in this film. For me personally it doesn’t offer you anything new or fresh, it feels too safe and too predictable. It doesn’t quite gel or flow together as much, it not quite inspiration as it should be with this type of film, I don’t want to be too harsh on this film. The film itself has got brilliant idea and this isn’t a bad film, overall, this is a well-made film.

  1. We have seen thos film and liked it very much. It’s the understated nature of Alan Bennet’s writing that we like, which isn’t to evrybody’s taste.
